Top Ten Tuesday #9: Beach reads.

Is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where each week they post a new top ten list and ask fellow bloggers to share their lists on that topic.

Today's top ten topic is: Top Ten Beach reads.

During the Summer months there's nothing I enjoy more than being able to kick back and relax with a gorgeous book, especially the ones that take you away to beautiful Summery settings, bring you swoon worthy guys and lift my spirits immediately when our own weather is being abysmal as usual.

This week's Top Ten list consists of authors books who I've learned to love and trust and have picked up time and time again.

Queen of Babble series by Meg Cabot

The Summer series by Jenny Han

I know I kind of cheated this week by adding two series, but honestly the Queen of Babble series and The Summer series are both of my all time favourites. They're full of swoon, fun and lots of laugh out loud moments. I will certainly be trying to re-read some of these books over the Summer.

If you posted a Top Ten post with you favourite beach reads then please link me up in the comments, I'd love to add more books to my Summer pile!

I didn't know you liked the Queen of Babble series! I loved that series too and I was completely, but pleasantly surprised by how Lizzie ended up with at the end of the series!

  6. Summer trilogy is the best. I almost added Can You Keep a Secret on my list. That book was hilarious. I only read the first 4 Princess Diaries books by Meg Cabot when I was in high-school.

    HERE is my StS.

  7. Can you Keep a Secret is the only book by Kinsella I've read, and I absolutely loved it! I also really enjoyed the two books from the Boy series you mentioned. I remember you recommending the Queen of Babble series to me and am hoping to read it some time this summer. :)

  9. I really need to read one of Meg Cabot't contemporaries! Love Sophie Kinsella! I'm avoiding the Jenny Han series b/c I don't do triangles - especially brother ones! The Book of Broken Hearts was really really good, and I keep hearing that Bittersweet is excellent. Thanks for visiting my list.

  13. SOPHIE KINSELLA! MEG CABOT! SARAH OCKLER! Jasprit, this is a gorgeous list. ;) Everyone single one of those books that you've mentioned I've loved, or heard amazing things about. I'm actually going on a beach vacation over the Summer, so I'll be sure to pick up some of them for the trip. Me too! I love rereading Meg's books, whenever I'm feeling down, her cheerful characters are the first ones I go to. :') Thanks for sharing, Jasprit! <3 x

I've only read her paranormal books, I need to read some of her contemporary stuff as well:) I've yet to read anything by Jenny Han, but have heard AWESOME things about her summer series. 28. Sarah Ockler is supposedly the bomb in contemporary world LOL. Ha! I should really get on some of her books. I wasn't a fan of Stephanie Perkins' Anna and the Frenck Kiss when I first read it, but now that I think back to it, I kinda enjoyed it. LOL. Maybe even liked it, haha. Okay, I definitely liked it and would like to re-read it again since it has that summery feel to it. Weird, I know. I gave it 2 stars -.- Me and my awkward and complicated personality :D

  29. Beach reads are the best! Since most of them are lighthearted contemporaries. I can read them again and again since I love the enjoyable stories! I noticed it's very rainy in England when I was looking up the weather in London for this week since I'm traveling over their tomorrow. (so excited!!)

Fantastic list Jasprit! Anna and bittersweet are among my favorite reads too. Anything by Meg Cabot is terrific.

  36. I've had The Summer I Turned Pretty sitting on my shelves for SUCH a long time, goodness. I WILL be picking that one up this summer, to read by our neighborhood pool. Same goes for Meg Cabot! I've heard she's basically the queen of teen reads, and I haven't read anything by her. Bad Aneeqah, haha. ;) I totally agree that Bittersweet is a great summer read, though, it's light and fun. I have The Book of Broken Hearts on hold at my library. =)

    Awesome picks, Jasprit!
