Showcase Sunday #52

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea. The aim is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week.

Hey everyone, so my plan of catching up with book and not getting anymore kind of went out of the window! I went to a Laini Taylor signing, so obviously had to get copies of Dreams of Gods and Monsters, (which I still haven't read yet) and Lips Touch. Then amazing Bloomsbury sent me copies of Fool Me Twice and Wish You Were Italian, the sound like super fun! And then Harper put up all these amazing titles on Edelweiss, seriously there were so many pretties, but I was good, as I downloaded three that were already on my to read shelf and had to get Snow Like Ashes, because it sounds epic and check out that cover! So as you can see it wasn't my fault at all! *hides in big stack of books*. Let's see what Rachel received

Lips Touch by Laini Taylor | Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor

Thank you Bloomsbury

Wish You Were Italian by Kristin Rae | Fool Me Twice by Mandy Hubbard

Thank you Harper Collins.

Even in Paradise by Chelsey Philpot | Blackbird by Anna Carey | Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch | Kill Vanish Kill by Jessica Martinez

Rachel's books:

Breakable  Sun-Kissed (Amour et Chocolat, #7; Snow Queen, #2)  Laugh (Burnside, #2)  The Story Guy

I Want to Hold Your Hand (Green Mountain, #2) Grim Shadows (Roaring Twenties, #2) Five Ways to Fall (Ten Tiny Breaths, #4)

Breakable by Tammara Webber | Sun-Kissed by Laura Florand | Laugh by Mary Ann Rivers | The Story Guy by Mary Ann Rivers
I Want to Hold Your Hand by Marie Force | Grim Shadows by Jenn Bennet
Five Ways to Fall by K.A. Tucker

Thank you to Laura Florand, Loveswept, Penguin, Atria Books, and Netgalley!

I went to an event signing for Tammara Webber this last Tuesday (I'll have my recap up next week) and I bought Breakable the companion Lucas/Landon POV in paperback to have it signed, of course. Well, when I heard her son, Zachary Webber, narrated the audio version I bought that, too. He was a narrator for Red Hill and I just loved his sexy voice!  Breakable has been really wonderful so far.
I'm DYING to pick up Sun-Kissed! Snow-Kissed was breathtaking, and it was a novella! I get to catch up with my favorite couple of the Amour et Chocolate series: Jaime and Dom, and Kurt and Kai from Snow-Kissed will be in there as well. *sigh*
I requested Laugh and The Story Guy because of Andrea's @The Bookish Babe reviews. Andrea, you're making my TBR crazy! Anyhow I'm excited to read all of these books.

So, what did you receive/buy this week? Link us up and well come on over to check it out!

  2. Lots of beautiful books! Have to see what you think of Snow Like Ashes, I've not requested it on the basis of extremely pretty cover for me usually ends with bad book, so shall how you feel Jasprit, and it's perfectly fine to buy books when there's an occasion, and meeting an author is an occasion! Also Rachel, I hope you enjoy Breakable, I've heard one or two good things about it, so I hope you enjoy it like Easy. Great post girls :)

  3. Jasprit, I picked up nearly all of your HarperCollins ARCs as well, so I'm hoping they wind up being as good as they look (such pretty covers!) and I cannot wait to see what you make of DoGaM since I'd love to compare notes.

Rachel, I absolutely LOVE The Story Guy and Laugh, not to mention Live, the prequel to Laugh. Mary Ann Rivers writes such AMAZING books, so you're in for a treat. Sun-Kissed is also fantastic, though not my favorite Florand novel, and I am DYING to read Grim Shadows. I want it so badly, so I hope you thoroughly enjoy it.

    Wonderful haul, ladies! :)

  22. Eeek! I know what you mean! Haha. When I saw all those pretty stuff on Edelweiss, my fingers kinda went crazy and I might have ended up with 90% of them on my Digital Editions... *whistle* In any case, I hope you have fun with these beauties! I can't wait to see your opinion of them!

  23. So many great books on this list, I don't know where to begin! Jasprit - I love that Dreams of Gods and Monsters cover, though I think I should avoid that "If Only" series. Even though I love books set in Italy, I just can't do any triangles. Rachel - I want to read Grim Shadows, Five Ways to Fall and Breakable. And I JUST read The Chocolate Kiss and LOVED it. I now have a lot of Florand's books to catch up on. YAY.
