  10. The Dark is Rising (and the rest of the series) by Susan Cooper. It's what got me into fantasy. I *still* remember the poem in it, 15 or so years after reading it.

  22. I feel lucky to have read Divergent by Veronica Roth because it was the first book that I truly fell in love with. I was so captivated by it. I would say that book is what started my love for reading.

  56. It's gonna sound strange because it's in a middle of a series but I feel really lucky to read The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead! Getting Adrian's story really helped me for some reason so I'll be forever grateful for Richelle for telling it.

  79. I have to give props to J.K. here, and say the Harry Potter series first. Also, Daughter of Smoke and Bone. This year, I have read Thorn Jack and Briar Queen by Katherine Harbour, and I feel beyond lucky that I found this amazing series, and this amazing author!
