Waiting on Wednesday #12

Is a meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, which spotlights upcoming releases were eagerly anticipating.

The book I'm most excited about this week is...

 Right of Way
 Lauren Barnholdt
 Publication date: July 9th 2013.

The road to heartbreak takes a lot of turns.

Here are Peyton and Jace, meeting on vacation. Click! It’s awesome, it’s easy, it’s romantic. This is the real deal.

Unless it isn’t.

Because when you’re in love, you don’t just stop calling one day. And you don’t keep secrets. Or lie. And when your life starts falling apart, you’re supposed to have the other person to lean on.

Here are Peyton and Jace again, broken up but thrown together on a road trip. One of them is lying about the destination. One of them is pretending not to be leaving something behind.

Neither of them is prepared for what’s coming on the road ahead…

Did someone say road trip? I adore books with road trips, especially ones set in the U.S (I’m assuming this one is!). These books tend to make me even more eager to visit the U.S one day and just road trip from one state to the other.

Right of Way also reminds me a bit of Saving June/Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour, both involved some sort of heartache for the main characters and of course the characters were forced to road trip together. I seem to enjoy it when characters are pushed into awkward situations together; it tends to bring out a lot more tension which seems to make the best reads for me these days.

Also who’s lying about what? What’s the other leaving behind? And what’s in store for them on the road ahead? I need to know these things! It sucks that we have to wait all the way until July 2013 to find out!

So that’s my wow for this week, are you guys waiting on anything too? Leave a link in the comments below and I’ll come check it out.
