where Sara gets her six year old son Shawn's perspective on a few Young Adult covers. I've adored this feature since forever, Shawn's interpretations of some of the Young Adult covers are amazing and his cover art is absolutely adorable. So I decided this would be a fun feature that I would like to be part of too.
So without further ado, here's my sister's perspective and cover art for Things I Can't Forget by Miranda Kenneally.
I think this book is about a girl who has these really good memories about her and her boyfriend. But then she breaks up with him and she tries to forget all of the memories and all about him. But she's been with him for so long that she can't forget it.
So what do you guys think? I'm hoping to make A Kid's Perspective a regular feature here at The Readers Den, that's as long as I can move my sister away from the Disney channel.
Jasprit, this is absolutely adorable! How did you even get your sister to do this for your blog?! I think these posts are entertaining and fun, you should definitely do them often! Your sister is quite the artist. :) Lovely post, Jasprit, it really brightened my day!

ReplyDeleteThat's so cool. I like to test my music on kids, if they sing along I know it's catchy. Also good from a writer's perspective to get a sense of how a cover grabs you. I'll be in that position very soon. BTW I think your sister is a great artist - maybe I'll ask her to design my book cover!
