Is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where each week they post a new top ten list and ask fellow bloggers to share their lists on that topic.
Today's top ten topic is: Top Ten Beach reads.
During the Summer months there's nothing I enjoy more than being able to kick back and relax with a gorgeous book, especially the ones that take you away to beautiful Summery settings, bring you swoon worthy guys and lift my spirits immediately when our own weather is being abysmal as usual.
This week's Top Ten list consists of authors books who I've learned to love and trust and have picked up time and time again.

Queen of Babble series by Meg Cabot
The Summer series by Jenny Han
I know I kind of cheated this week by adding two series, but honestly the Queen of Babble series and The Summer series are both of my all time favourites. They're full of swoon, fun and lots of laugh out loud moments. I will certainly be trying to re-read some of these books over the Summer.
If you posted a Top Ten post with you favourite beach reads then please link me up in the comments, I'd love to add more books to my Summer pile!
There are some of my favorite books out there! Anna and the French Kiss, Can You Keep a Secret?, Queen of Babble and the Sarah Ockler books!
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to try those other ones out. I'm sure I'll love them because you did! :)
I didn't know you liked the Queen of Babble series! I loved that series too and I was completely, but pleasantly surprised by how Lizzie ended up with at the end of the series!
Some great picks, Jasprit!
Great list! Can You Keep a Secret? is my favourite Kinsella title and would make an excellent beach read :)

yay the SUmmer books I absolutely adored them. I think I'll ahve to check out the queen of babble it's popping up on so many lists. Also I absolutely adore your header gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten
I've only read the first two on your list, but I've been wanting to get to the others! This is such a fun list!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
*high fives* Jasprit. I loved Summer series and it's also on my list as well as Anna and the French Kiss! :) I've heard of the others but haven't read them except Meg Cabot - I simply don't enjoy her books. Great list! :)
ReplyDeleteSummer trilogy is the best. I almost added Can You Keep a Secret on my list. That book was hilarious. I only read the first 4 Princess Diaries books by Meg Cabot when I was in high-school.
ReplyDeleteHERE is my StS.
Can you Keep a Secret is the only book by Kinsella I've read, and I absolutely loved it! I also really enjoyed the two books from the Boy series you mentioned. I remember you recommending the Queen of Babble series to me and am hoping to read it some time this summer. :)
ReplyDeleteSophie Kinsella, Stephanie Perkins, and Sarah Ockler all write such perfect beach reads. I'm going to have to check out Jenny Han's trilogy for sure, though - I just hear so much about it! Wonderful Top Ten!
ReplyDeleteI really need to read one of Meg Cabot't contemporaries! Love Sophie Kinsella! I'm avoiding the Jenny Han series b/c I don't do triangles - especially brother ones! The Book of Broken Hearts was really really good, and I keep hearing that Bittersweet is excellent. Thanks for visiting my list.
ReplyDeleteI really need to read some Sarah Okler- the reviews on her books have been nothing but positive.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! <33
I haven't read any of these, which is exciting! More good books to discover, and add to my TBR.
ReplyDeleteI've heard mixed things on Bittersweet, but I loved Twenty Boy Summer, so maybe I should give more of Sarah Ockler's work a go. Plus, now you have me interested in Meg Cabot's books! Thanks, Jasprit! Brilliant list this week :)
ReplyDeleteSOPHIE KINSELLA! MEG CABOT! SARAH OCKLER! Jasprit, this is a gorgeous list. ;) Everyone single one of those books that you've mentioned I've loved, or heard amazing things about. I'm actually going on a beach vacation over the Summer, so I'll be sure to pick up some of them for the trip. Me too! I love rereading Meg's books, whenever I'm feeling down, her cheerful characters are the first ones I go to. :') Thanks for sharing, Jasprit! <3 x
ReplyDeleteI would def love to read Anna on the beach. Great picks, and some I still need to read
ReplyDeleteBoy Meets Girl made my list too :) Love Meg Cabot and Sophie Kinsella! Really need to read The Summer series, they sound great!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT!
Anna and the French Kiss - yes!
ReplyDeleteI really need to get around to reading some Sarah Ockler, I have heard some really great things about her latest book and really want to grab it. Anna and the French Kiss seems to be on the majority of lists this week and I need to read that one too! Great list!
ReplyDeleteSO many of these I have not read! I'm hoping to read The Book of Broken Hearts this summer so I'm glad to see it up there. And ANNA is perfect too! Great list! :)
ReplyDeleteOooo lots of Meg Cabot up there Jasprit! I've only read her paranormal books, I need to read some of her contemporary stuff as well:) I've yet to read anything by Jenny Han, but have heard AWESOME things about her summer series. That's another one on my "I need to stop talking about reading them and actually read them" list:)
ReplyDeleteI love Sarah Ockler. She is an author from Colorado which is what lead me to her in the first place! Bittersweet is soooo fun. Anna and the French Kiss was really cute too. These are the perfect types of books for summer. I love contemporary books at the pool!

My Top Ten Pool Reads
Great list! I love Sophie Kinsella and Sarah Ockler. I still need to read the Summer Series. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI think I haven't read the Queen of Babbles series and now I'm curious to read it.... And of course, one of Sarah Ockler's book! Among other books of hers, Jasprit, which one do you think I should read first? :D
ReplyDeleteTirta @ I Prefer Reading
Both of Ockler's books that I've mentioned are really different, but as I finished The Book of Broken Hearts recently I would probably be favoring that one a little more!
DeleteYou list is So summery!! I love it! I want to read The Summer I Turned Pretty... maybe that will be one of my 2013 beach books :) And I love Meg Cabot and Sarah Ockler, they're definitely two of my favs. And Can You Keep a Secret had me laughing so hard! Definitely a good beach book!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by My TTT
I have not read any of these! This is a problem..
ReplyDeleteAll of these books are so cute! Although I haven't read High Society and Split ends. :P
ReplyDeleteBut they sound cute too! So I might just give them a try sometime. :)

I haven't read one of these except for Anna and the French Kiss! Cabot is amazing though, I should read more of hers!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
Sarah Ockler is supposedly the bomb in contemporary world LOL. Ha! I should really get on some of her books. I wasn't a fan of Stephanie Perkins' Anna and the Frenck Kiss when I first read it, but now that I think back to it, I kinda enjoyed it. LOL. Maybe even liked it, haha. Okay, I definitely liked it and would like to re-read it again since it has that summery feel to it. Weird, I know. I gave it 2 stars -.- Me and my awkward and complicated personality :D
ReplyDeleteBeach reads are the best! Since most of them are lighthearted contemporaries. I can read them again and again since I love the enjoyable stories! I noticed it's very rainy in England when I was looking up the weather in London for this week since I'm traveling over their tomorrow. (so excited!!)
ReplyDeleteFantastic list Jasprit! Anna and bittersweet are among my favorite reads too. Anything by Meg Cabot is terrific.
Oh I'm so excited for you Rachel! I hope you have a fab time and the weather improves for you whilst you're here!
DeleteCan You Keep A Secret is one of my all-time favorites! Loved your list :)
ReplyDeleteSo many good ones! And I love that we share a few in today's post. :) Anna and the French Kiss and Bittersweet are still on my TBR! Maybe I should work on fixing that since summer is pretty much here. :)
ReplyDeleteBonnie @ Sweet Tidbits
Most people seem to love Anna and the French Kiss. I've read Meg Cabots Mediator series and loved it but haven't read any of her contemps. Great picks Jaspirit :)
ReplyDeleteOMG!! So many fantastic beach reads. The Summer I Turned Pretty is destined to be read on the beach. I have a copy of The Book of Broken Hearts ordered and am waiting for it to show up. Definitely bringing it to the beach with me. And I have yet to read a Meg Cabot book, which one should I pick?
ReplyDeleteOMG FANTASTIC PICKS!! Jenny Han and Meg Cabot are seriously the BEST beach reads! Great post!
ReplyDelete- Farah @ MajiBookshelf
I've had The Summer I Turned Pretty sitting on my shelves for SUCH a long time, goodness. I WILL be picking that one up this summer, to read by our neighborhood pool. Same goes for Meg Cabot! I've heard she's basically the queen of teen reads, and I haven't read anything by her. Bad Aneeqah, haha. ;) I totally agree that Bittersweet is a great summer read, though, it's light and fun. I have The Book of Broken Hearts on hold at my library. =)
ReplyDeleteAwesome picks, Jasprit!
I haven't read anything by Meg Cabot. I think I should get on that. I have heard so many good things about her books, and they look like perfect beach reads.
ReplyDeleteGreat List!
I've read some of these. As for the others...*adds them to library bag*
