Showcase Sunday #35

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea. The aim is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week.

Hello lovelies, the last two weeks have been super busy, the only thing that has kept me going through being ill and having endless family members over is the fact that I can curl up with a great book. Once again I didn't receive many books, but nonetheless I'm super excited about reading all of them at once. (This is definitely the time when I need Bernard's Watch).

Thank you to Disney Hyperion, Harper Collins and Pocket Books.

I read Time after Time in a few days, although I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book, I still appreciated the sweet story that Tamara Ireland Stone provided. I couldn't download Into the Still Blue fast enough when I saw it up on Edelweiss, the last book was just amazing, so I'm dying to start this book already, but I have a few more upcoming books before I can do that :(

Rachel the lucky lady is at Laguna Beach for the weekend, but will be back soon sharing her lovely posts with you. Here's a picture of where she's spent her day reading!

If you post a book haul of any sort this week, then feel free to leave a link in the comments, and I will be over later!

  9. RACHEL, YOU LUCKY DUCK! ;) Jealous of your pretty self. I'm also jealous of you, Jasprit. Into the Still Blue? Everyone's getting it. I haven't read Through the Ever Night yet, but since I'm purhcasing a HC of Into the Still Blue anyway, I'm not going to request for it. I think. I'm afraid I won't feel good if I don't get apporved, plus, I want to read books at my own time and pacing so that's one of the reasons I don't like to request for arcs. Then I feel obligated to read a book. anyhow, Time After Time's UK cover is freaking g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!!! Love that one. I hope you enjoy all of the ones you haven't read yet, hon:)

Of course I should probably read Through the Ever Night first. Minor detail. I'm hoping to get to read both back to back in January, I love Aria and Perry and ROAR so much:)

  32. Feel better, Jasprit! And what is Bernard's Watch?? I cracked up at the top YouTube comment, hahaha. I never read Under the Never Sky but I've heard so many people talking about Into the Still Blue that it's back on my radar.

    1. Ha I agree he was so lucky! Bernard's Watch was a programme that I used to watch when I was younger, it was about a kid who found a watch which could stop time whenever he wanted. So be at one place by stopping time, this watch would be perfect for us readers, as we wouldn't lose any time reading at all and we could finally get through our TBR piles!

  34. I hope you feel better soon Jasprit! Such a shame that Time After Time isn't as good as the first book. I also really need to get on to the Under the Never Sky series. Maybe I'll read them back to back when they're all out! So jealous of Rachel right now!

  35. Raachell, you're in paradise aren't you? And love the books Jasprit :D Happy reading!

  36. That Rachel is always reading someplace fabulous! Although technically I could drive down there and read on a cabana next to her, hah.

I'm really looking forward to reading Time After Time, so I'm curious to hear your reactions to it, Jasprit.
