Cover Fever #10 Boundless by Cynthia Hand

Rachel and I are back with Cover Fever this week. I decided to go with a series that we're both huge fans of, I know that we both had mixed sort of feelings with the way things ended with the final book Boundless, but nonetheless, we're still huge fans of the gorgeous covers these books have had so far, (I'm still pining to get my hands on the Aussie covers). So without further ado!

     US Cover                                        Australian Cover

German Cover                                    Danish Cover

Jasprit:
The UK publishers decided not to publish this final book, although I wasn't a huge fan of their editions, I still wanted to see what their final version would have looked like, so instead I ended up buying the US cover, which I have to say is pretty stunning. I'm a huge fan of purply coloured books, and this one is even more pretty in real life as it has a gorgeous silver font going across it, which is sort of raised, so I love the feel and design of it. The Australian cover is so beautiful! I love the colours that they've used for the cover and as I'm a fan of the fall/winter, I love how it gives off a fall sort of feel. The German cover isn't too bad, but gives off a scary sort of vibe and definitely wouldn't make me want to give this book a go if I saw it in a bookstore. And whilst I like the tone and colour of the Danish cover too, overall it really isn't my sort of cover.

Jasprit's Final Verdict:
The Australian cover, closely followed by the US

Rachel:
I've never been fond of the US cover.  I wasn't a fan of the monochrome, and of course this is the cover I have sitting on my shelf. Lol! Although, I do agree with Jasprit about the font and scrolling of the US, it's pretty.  The Danish cover is enchanting, and here we have monochrome again, sort of, but it works for me in this case. It seems heavenly which is probably what they were going for.  My favorite though is the Australian cover. I love the autumnal coloring and the flowing dress gives it an ethereal feeling.  So gorgeous!

Rachel's Final Verdict:
The Australian cover with the Danish cover coming in second.

Which book cover would you like to have on your shelves?

The Australian cover wins this for me. Just look at those covers. But I must say that all 4 are really pretty. Our editions are same as US ones. I wish they used Aussie one :)) Great post, girls :)

I love the US covers and as always, Rach and I disagree :D LOL. We seem to not have the same taste in covers at all. I do like the Aussie one, but the US ones are just whoa! So gorgeous IRL. I actually don't like the Danish one at all girls, sorry! I find it to give a ghost story vibe and it looks too creepy for my taste seeing as these books are more on the light side. Great description of the Aussie cover, Rach!

I enjoyed this series but hated the ending. She belonged with Christian!! Anyway, I always felt like the US covers looked like when my printer runs out of ink and there's only a muddy blue green brownish color, or like it was left in the sun and faded.
The cover itself is pretty, particularly the font but it has Girl in Prom Dress for no Reason Syndrome and looks like 300 other YA books.
The foreign covers are all nicer. I love the lower right. That really depicts the story, whereas the ball gown in the woods has nothing to do with it.

The German cover looks fabulous, but the girl on the Danish cover looks older for some reason. I don't know, weirdly, that's the impression I get.
I have yet to read this, I'm afraid. I'm slow like that sometimes.

I think I would have loved a mash-up of the Aussie and the US cover. I love the way the model looks on the US cover and I love the gorgeous font but I LOVE the colors on the Aussie cover. If the two could have been mashed together, it would make for one GORGEOUS cover.

I agree with Rachel...I like the Australian cover the best, but then the Danish one right behind it! :)

I want to own the Australian covers if I ever buy and try this series, THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL I WANT TO CRY, honestly, the UK editions were shocking I think, honestly, terrible, so I agree, Australian all the way!

I'm not a fan of the US covers either although everyone seems to love them. There's nothing particularly eye-catching other than her dress.
But yes, my favorite has to be the Australian one! :)

I loved this series. But I think in the case of the US cover it is MUCH prettier in person than it looks from the picture. Often covers have silver metallic or embossed/raised type print. You really can't see any of that in the picture. I do think that the Australian cover is very pretty. But I'd like to see it in person. I don't really care for the German cover. It is scary. I think I would like the Danish cover if she was turned around. It does have an angelic feel to it. Overall I would say US, but not really based on the picture, based on the actual cover.

A HUGE yes to the Aussie cover!!!! SO GORGEOUS! Definitely my favorite of the bunch, but I do like the US cover as well. They're all pretty nice, but those two are my favorite for sure. It's so much fun to see alternate versions of covers, LOVE this feature ladies!

That dress the girl is wearing on the Danish cover is gorgeous but, yeah, I'm going to have to agree that the Aussie cover's my fave. The colors are just so pretty!

I'm loving the Australian cover! The colours are gorgeous! I don't own a physical copy of the US edition but I remember seeing it at the bookstore. I recall it has a shimmering texture which you can't tell with pictures.

I've only read the first book and loved it. This is one of many series I need to finish...but these are the more striking covers I've seen in YA! I think for me I love the UK one but I the Aussie cover certainly has striking colours. Lovely post ladies. :)

The Australian cover is certainly striking, but believe it or not, I still like the original U.S. cover. Loved this series.

I have to agree that the Australian cover is the prettiest with the US covers coming in second. Why do the Aussies get the best authors, the best books, AND the best covers? *pouts*

For me, it has to be the US cover. I love every part of it. It's so calm and I love the colours and contrast. The font is also stunning. I love that every publisher decided this series needed a girl in a dress on the cover :p

Oh wow, it's a shame that the UK publisher didn't do the last book! That's so sad. I really like the Danish cover though, I hadn't seen that one before.

My favorite has to be the Australian cover with the German one coming in as a close second. I love the colors and the seasonal feel of the Australian cover! Great post :)

Aah, I really love the Australian cover so much. It's definitely contrasting with the US cover, what with the splash of color and the movement of the lady in the cover. I actually liked the German cover as well because it looks darker and more mysterious but that's just me. :)

I love this feature. So fun to see covers in different countries. The Aussie cover wins for me! I still feel very sad about the last book, and as a result, the entire series.

What do you mean?! The UK readers will never get to read the last book of this beautiful series? D: That's awful! The last book was so good, too :( In any case, though, my favorite would have to be the Australian one. It's so warm, and homey, and just so... amiable. It's beautiful, really. The US one would be a close second, with the Danish after that! It gives off that angel aura pretty well :D
