Hello readers! Jasprit and I love covers, so we're starting a new feature on the blog: Cover Fever. This title will be a catch-all for any type of post we want to do that involves Book Covers: cover changes, covers from different countries, our favorite or most hated ones. This week we're featuring the a few of the covers from different countries of a book I recently read and loved: All the Truth That's In Me by Julie Berry. I'm picking a favorite and so is Jasprit. Let us know your favorite and thoughts below in the comments!
US Cover: Australian Cover:
Jasprit: Even though I haven't read this book yet, I find myself more drawn to the US cover, I like how fierce the MC looks on the cover and how they've got a sharp cut going through her mouth, it matches well with the title of the book and also what I've heard the book is about so far. Whereas the Australian cover is nice, I don't think I would ever be drawn to it if I saw it in bookstore. I'm normally disappointed with the covers that we get in the UK and I have to say that I that I don't find this one really appealing, it does seem that it would be targeted towards a younger reading audience with the cover that they've gone for. Although the German cover is really pretty and it reminds me of the autumn (my favourite season!) I think the US cover still stands out for me above the rest.
Final Verdict: Definitely the US cover.
Rachel: I'm going to start with my least favorite first and it's a tie: The UK cover and the Australian covers just do not appeal to me at all. The UK cover has a cartoonish feel to it, and doesn't match up with the story in my mind at all. The story is a historical mystery/romance and the UK cover looks like a fairy tale. I just don't like the Australian cover, which is a shock because I usually prefer their covers over all others. It's just so drab to me. I love the US cover! The girl looks intense, beautiful, and also a little broken which is perfect for the story. I also love the German cover with the autumnal colors, it reminds me of the setting of the book and the girl, and dress look like they could fit in with the time period. So I guess my favorite is a tie as well!
Final Verdict: It's a tie between the US and German covers.

:) I like how the frighting the girl is in the US cover because of her cut. I also like the US cover the best. Though I think the Australian cover is great for the artistic shading it has, the artist there has talent. The autumn oranges are gorgeous! Love the title of the feature!
I agree. I really like the US and German cover. The US cover makes me want to pick it up just by looking at the cover because it looks intriguing. I like how the girl's mouth is kind of like slashed out. The German one looks captivating and interesting. My least favorite is the UK cover. It doesn't seem like it would fit the story. The Australian cover looks like the book would be an autobiography, but it's not. I don't know...they both look misleading.

I love this feature! I feel like the US cover embodies the story better. The cut through the mouth is so striking that I can't look away. It certainly captures my attention. You can feel that the book will be a real roller coaster of emotions. With the other ones, I feel that the other ones are extremely forgettable.
I agree with you about the first one. The US cover wins there, but for the second one I'll go with German. I somehow love it, even though the UK one is pretty unusual. Great feature :)
I remember you two had a similar feature regarding covers awhile back, which I loved, so I'm glad it's back! And I have to agree that the US Cover is the best, only because it's so fierce. Lovely post, ladies!
Loving the new feature! I must say I like the US or AUS cover, the girl in the front kind of just lures me in. And both give a creepy feel.
Thanks for sharing, you two! <33
I agree with both of your girls on the UK cover version. UK covers are usually not my thing either. I love the US one though even if it reminds me Slated. I think the Aussie one is quite good, too, but just as Jasprit pointed out--it wouldn't necessarily appeal to one in a store. I'd go with the US one out of these just as you:)
I think I like the US covers for both of these. A lot of times, I'll prefer a non-US version (usually I love the UK versions) but these two stand out. I think I'd definitely pick up these from the crowd of books out there.
Cool new feature, you guys.
I have to agree with you guys that the US cover is the best. The colors pop out and it's gorgeous.
The UK cover is so boring. I definitely want to pick that one up.
This is a tricky one for me! I don't always like seeing faces on covers, but I'm not really keen on the UK cover either. It would probably have to be a tie between the Australian and US covers for me. Great new feature, ladies! I love comparing different edition covers with each other. :)
US cover! It's striking and it depicts the plot betther than the others. I love the new post :D

I'm really drawn to the US cover, it's the most dramatic I think! I actually do like the UK cover from an artistic standpoint, but it doesn't seem to fit the book as well as the US cover. I haven't read it, but the premise makes it sound dark and twisty an painful, and I don't get that from the UK cover at all. Ditto on the German cover, but I do think it's beautiful:) This is fun, can't wait for more of this feature ladies!
I like how striking and dramatic the US cover is, but I think my favourite is the UK one, although I do agree that it might not fit the story so well.
I usually like non-U.S. covers a lot, but you're both right about the UK one. It seems too young and cartoonish. However, I do really like the German cover. That would stick out to me in the store. The U.S. one here is super awesome though!!
I really like the US cover, but having just finished this one yesterday I can definitely say that it is a deceiving cover! I think the German one is a bit more fitting to the actual story. Great feature ladies!

I like the font of the Australian cover, but the scratch in the US cover is eye-catching. The German cover is pretty too, but since I haven't read the book I'm not sure which cover is best for the story :D
FUN!
I like the US cover the best, by far. I do like the Austrailian and German covers. But the UK cover is baaaad. Why do they always seem to have the worst covers?
ooh I love this new feature you guys!! It's so interesting to see the different covers! I agree with you, my favorite two are the US and the German covers!

Well, I'm gonna have to go either way on the first book - they kinda looks similar. I love the German cover on the second book, though.
Great feature, ladies!
I really love the US cover :D I hope the book is good. Have pre-ordered a hardcover of it ;p thank you for sharing all the covers. <3
I definitely agree. Haven't read the book either but the US cover is more intriguing to me than any of the others... the slash through her mouth is super eery.
I love this new feature girls! Especially comparing the different countries covers. My favourite here hands down is the US cover. I find our UK one really boring!
First off, I love this feature, ladies! Fab idea :) Second, I agree with you on your picks. I love her eyes in the US cover, they really grab your attention. And I really do like the autumnal colors in the German cover, I'm a fan of leaves, what can I say :)
Oh, yes, I completely agree. The US cover is by far the most alluring, and to be honest, the UK one is a huge disappointment. Ah, well, I'll take this story any way I can get it, it sounds so interesting.
Thanks for sharing, girls.
