Books I'm Most Looking Forward to in 2016

There are so many books I'm (Rachel) really excited about this year so I thought I'd share some of them.  Most are adult books, but I do have a couple of young adult books on the list, too.

Several of these books I get to devour VERY soon. Feverborn comes out this coming Tuesday January 19th. I've been searching for it on Audible (which is how I've "read" the whole series) everyday and it just got added as a pre-order.  I'm shocked that Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross are NOT the narrators!  Luke Daniels and Jill Redfield are to be the narrators this time around. Even though I adore Luke Daniels, (he narrates the Iron Druid Chronicles, see below, Staked) I've come to LOVE Phil and Natalie's performance in the Fever series! We'll see how it turns out.

I happened upon Jane Steele on Eva's blog: All Books Considered.  It's a Jane Eyre re-telling, one of my all time favorite books, and it sounds amazing!  I'm so anxious about the ending to the The Raven Cycle! You better leave Gansey alone, Maggie, because Blue needs her love!

I'm sure it's no surprise to see the latest installments of The Others, Mercy Thompson, Kate Daniels (no cover yet), The Iron Druid Chronicles, and Laura Florand's latest Paris Hearts (no cover or title yet) on my list.

Feverborn (Fever, #8)  Staked (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #8) Fire Touched (Mercy Thompson, #9)

Marked in Flesh (The Others, #4) He Will Be My Ruin  The Raven King (The Raven Cycle, #4)

Jane Steele  https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17333174-magic-binds?ac=1&from_search=1  The Visitor (Graveyard Queen, #4)

So what books are you most looking forward to this year?

I feel like I've been missing out on the Briggs and Bishop series, so I just bought the first books in both! If you loved them, I'm sure I will!

I hope you love KA Tuckers new book as much as I did. I thought it was a really good suspense. Kept me guessing till the end.

I STILL need to start the Fever series and read Bourbon Kings!

Great list, Rachel!!

Jane Steele sounds amazing and I absolutely can't wait to read it! :)
I'm also really looking forward to the upcoming K.A Tucker one. I should be reading it next so I hope it's good.
Jenny and I are going to be reading Written in Red together and I'm excited to experience the series! :)
I hope all these wind up being amazing, Rachel!

I'M SO NERVOUS ABOUT FEVERBORN RACHEL!!!! Burned was a bit of a disaster for so many people (I haven't read it yet, but I know what happens), so I'm scared this book will be in the same vein. I just don't like the Dani situation. WHY?!!! I loved her so much in Iced, but maybe this book will get everything back on track:)

I have so many of those on my list as well. I adore the Others series, and I so excited to get another Graveyard Queen. Hoping for great things from the Luke Daniles narrating Feverborn, I know I will be listening to the latest Iron Druid. Great picks, Rachel.

I hope you love both series' as much as I do, Brandie! I'm so excited you'll be reading them. :) The first book of Mercy Thompson isn't the best in the series, but that's usual in UF. I hope I enjoy He Will Be My Ruin, as well. I keep getting sidetracked with other books.

I'm doing a happy dance over you reading Written in Red with Jenny!! :)

I hope so, too, Lekeisha! I'll come check out your review when I finish. :)

Thank you, Mandy! You too! :)

I want you to read Burned soon, Jenny! The Dani situation is going in the right direction, IMO. Ryodan's reactions to her were very satisfying!

I just read Nick's comment above and I'm thrilled you're going to do a read along with her for Written in Red!! I hope you both love it!

I'm really curious about He Will Be My Ruin. I read a review the other day that was really positive. I need to check out this author anyway!

He Will Be My Ruin was FANTASTIC!!! I'm really looking forward to getting back to the Raven Boys this year. Though I read it back when it was released, I don't really remember it too well so I plan to reread it before continuing on with the series. So many great-sounding books on your list! :)

Oh I am SO worried about Gansey -- so worried! I am DYING to read The Raven King but I'm honestly glad there won't be in ARCs because of spoilers. I plan to organize a re-read before the final books comes out -- we'll see!

Obviously, I cannot wait for Marked in Flesh -- I haven't started it yet because of other books that come out sooner and need reviews but not sure how long I can hold off!

Curious what you think about He Will Be My Ruin -- it might just be me re: that one. I haven't seen anyone else not liking it so maybe it's just me!!

Interesting, so many great covers! I don't think I've heard of any of these! O_O Actually lies - I know of the Stiefvater one, though I haven't started the series (will binge-read it once the series is over!). And I'm excited for the next Bourbon Kings book as well! I hope you get the chance to read all of these, Rachel. :D

Looking forward to your updates on Feverborn. I plan to finally start Raven Cycle, since the last book would be released soon. As for The Others I think I’ll wait when all installments were released and then binge read this series. I hope you get to read all books on this list, Rachel!

I neeeed The Raven King so bad! Or at least that last page to hold me over.. everything just needs to be okay!
I finished Marked in Flesh just a few days ago! Not enough Simon/Meg time, but it was still a great read. :)

Some fabulous books here - so many UF lovelies that I'm looking forward to - the next Kate Daniels & Mercy Thomson in particular. Not forgetting The Raven King, of course.

All these books look and sound so good. I must get back to Maggie Steifvater because I really love her work. The rest are new to me, but I can't wait to see your reviews for them and then read them myself. Thanks for sharing, Rachel!
