Top Ten Tuesday #6

Is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where each week they post a new top ten list and ask fellow bloggers to share their lists on that topic.

Today's top ten topic is: Top Ten books on your fall tbr list.

The fall/autumn is one of my favourite seasons. There’s nothing more I enjoy more than curling up with a good book and hearing the rain fall on my window. This fall doesn’t fail to disappoint with some seriously awesome releases, but as my tbr pile is already crazily out of control I’ve decided to combine my list with new releases that I can’t wait for and books which numerous people have recommended to me but I just haven’t got around to.

1. Days of Blood and Starlight Laini Tyalor
2. Iced Karen Marie Moning
3. The Space Between Us Jessica Martinez

Daughter of Smoke and Bone and the Fever series by Karen Moning were my favourite reads last year. So I knew straight away that any future follow ups to these amazing books would become immediate must haves. I can't wait to get back together with the fantastic set of characters and the fact that both of these books have rocking covers has made me even more excited about picking them up.

4. Meant To Be Lauren Morrill
5. Burn for Burn Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian

Both of these books have been on my wish list forever. Meant to Be was actually on a brilliant pre-order price on The Book Depository that I didn’t hesitate in ordering a copy. With a pretty cover, cute premise and me being a contemporary girl at heart I think this will definitely be my sort of book. Jenny Han is one of my favourite authors and Siobhan Vivian is an author whose books I’ve always been meaning to get around to. So this collaboration for Burn for Burn sounds perfect!

6. Night Beach Kirsty Eagar
7. Holier Than Thou Laura Buzo

I’m such a book hoarder, both of these books I received a few weeks after their release dates, but I still haven’t picked them up. The fact that these books are by amazing Aussie authors, should really provide me with the extra encouragement to pick these up sooner.

8. The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking) Patrick Ness
9. The Unbecoming of Mara Michelle Hodkin
10. Psych Major Syndrome Alicia Thompson

I have lost count the number of people who have recommended me Patrick Ness’ Chaos Walking series. You would think that with the praising reviews and the fact that I have all three books I would have read it already! This series will definitely be one that I will tackle this autumn.

With the release of the Evolution of Mara Dyer around the corner I really need to get a wriggle on with the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. However I have been warned that it has a cliff hanger ending so maybe it was a good idea that I saved this book for so long.

So that’s my top ten books I plan on tackling this fall. Do you have a list of books you plan to get through too? Leave a link below and I’ll pop over and check it out!

Wonderful Top Ten, Jasprit! I actually participated in this one too, so my list is going up only tomorrow, but I love yours! I wound up just putting novels that would be releasing in the Fall and that I would want to read, but I prefer your interpretation of the question much better. I have DoBS and Iced as my Top Two as well and Meant to Be also made my list! I just picked up both Night Beach and Holier Than Thou, after finally scraping up enough money to buy them internationally, so I can't wait to start those as well! I definitely want to read them this fall too, so perhaps we can do a readalong of them together! :) I know The Knife of Never Letting Go has been sitting on my shelf forever, so hopefully someday I'll get to read it... I love your list, Jasprit, so I hope you're able to read all these fabulous books soon! :D

This is a wonderful list, Jasprit. I also love reading when it's gloomy outside, it really sets the mood. I can't wait for Meant to Be. I hope it's as good as it sounds. I'm going to read the first book of the Fever series this month so I'm anxious to see what you'll think of Karen Morning's new series. Great picks. :)

I've had Psych Major Syndrome for awhile now, and I am curious to check that out. I haven't heard of Holier Than Thou Laura Buzo but I'm off to check it out; the title and cover look quite fascinating!

The Space Between Us looks good and I've heard great things about the author's debut novel. Burn for Burn - sqeee! Meant To Be sounds like such a lovely contemporary. I've got Night Beach on my shelf which I won but I'm rethinking my decision to read it. I'm not into horror/freaky/scary movies or books. I freak eaily :O Holier Than Thou Laura Buzo looks amazing, excited to get my hands on a copy. I've been wanting to get my hands on The Knife of Never Letting Go, ever since it caught my eye earlier this year. I have The Unbecoming of Mara on my shelf and plan to read it before the sequel comes out, too! And Psych Major Syndrome? I've been meaning to read that, also!

Wow, what a great list of books! I actually want to read a lot of these myself, better get a wriggle on! *runs off to read* Thanks for sharing, Jasprit! :)

I really need to try the Chaos Walking series! I keep hearing great things about it. I hope you enjoy The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer! People seem to either love it or hate it. I really enjoyed it, so I hope you do too. ;) And yes, Days of Blood & Starlight is definitely on my autumn list! I also hope I can finally get around to Night Beach.

Brilliant list, Jasprit! :)

Burn for Burn is on mine too, I want to read it so bad! I requested it on NetGalley, but haven't got a reply. ): The Unbecoming of Mara looks so good. And so does Meant To Be. So many lovely books on here, I hope you get to read them soon! I haven't heard of a few of these, but I hope you get to read them all! (:

I just read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, and it is a good thing that you didn't read it awhile ago, because there is a terrible cliff hanger at the end. So now you won't have to wait too long for the second book. I still didn't love the book, though. I hope you like it.

Also, I'm super excited about Meant to Be too!

SO MUCH GOODNESS ON THAT LIST JASPRIT! I cannot wait for Days of Blood and Starlight, I might implode before that book comes out. And ICED! *dies* I can't wait to see what she does with Dani:) I adored Meant to Be and the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, I'm so excited to see what you think!

I really want to read the Fever series, it's set in Dublin right? Am I thinking about the right series lol? And I'm hoping to read Meant to Be too. Great top ten. And we get plenty of opportunity to curl up with a book and listen to the rain on the window. I actually love it too. And the heavier the better when I'm not outside :) I'm a winter person.

I'm looking forward to MEANT TO BE, too! And I'm going to be starting NIGHT BEACH soon. I'm so curious what you'll think of Mara Dyer, Jasprit--I wasn't a fan of that one, although it certainly was a very popular book. So many great books out this fall, though. :) We're all going to be busy little beavers.

Days of Blood and Starlight and Burn for Burn are on my wishlist as well! Can't wait for both. :) I really, really need a copy of Night Beach, but I'm broke so I can't make a trip to Fishpond anytime soon. :( *sobs*

Anyways, I love your list, Jasprit! Certainly a copious amount of upcoming releases that everyone is excited for. :)
