Showcase Sunday #25

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea. The aim is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week.

Hello lovely readers, the last two weeks I've been trying to keep my requesting finger in check. I had a peek the other day at my May releases and couldn't believe how much awesomeness I had coming up. I seriously need to get down to reading all of them. So I'm quite proud that I only received five seven (this was five until last night.) books for review and they're ones which I've been dying to get my hands on.

Getting Over Garrett Delaney by Abby McDonald
The Pirate's Wish by Cassandra Rose Clarke
Spirit by Brigid Kemmerer
Golden by Jessi Kirby
The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler
The Vow by Jessica Martinez
Right of Way by Lauren Barnholdt

Thank you to Walker Books UK, Angry Robot, Kensington Books and Simon & Schuster

I was beyond excited when I was finally accepted for Golden, The Book of Broken Hearts, The Vow and Right of Way by S & S. I adored Ockler's book Bittersweet so couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy of her latest novel. The Pirate's Wish and Spirit were also two books high on my wish list I can't wait to see what Clarke has in store for Naji and Ananna and I'm hoping that Hunter will finally be able to win me over in Spirit.

Over to Rachel now to see what she received.

The Testing Guide by Joelle Charbonneau
Life After Theft by Aprilynne Pike
Shadow Eyes by Dusty Crabtree
You Look Different in Real Life by Jennifer Castle
Insomnia by J.R Johansson
Doll Bones by Holly Black
The Testing Guide (The Testing 0.5) by Joelle Charbonneau
True by Erin McCarthy
Spirit by Brigid Kemmerer
The Collector by Victoria Scott.

Thank you to Intermix, Netgalley, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Entangled Teen, Kensington Books, Flux, Margaret K. Elderry Books, Harper Teen, and Dusty Crabtree.

Flat- Out Matt by Jessica Park
Crossing the Line by Katie McGarry
Burning Blue by Paul Griffin
Among the Nameless Stars  (Prequel to For Darkness Shows the Stars) by Diana Peterfreund.(freebie on Amazon Thank you Jenny @Supernatural Snark for the heads up!)

Okay, wow, didn’t know I had so much here, and I’ve probably forgot some, too!! I guess I won’t be able to sleep, eat, or much of anything else but read, lol! I’m thrilled about Spirit because I love all those Merrick boys! I’m also quite excited about Doll Bones even if it is a middle grade. Holly Black has an unusual writing style that I loved with her Modern Fairy series. I LOVED Flat-Out Matt!! It’s sort of a companion/extension to Flat-Out Love. I just ordered a physical copy and I think I might give it away with Flat-Out Love next month, just to share the love!

Did you share a book haul this week? We'd love to know which books you received, please leave a link in the comments and we'll be over to check it out soon.

*jaw drop* oh my god that is AN EPIC book haul! I totally get what you mean about restraining the requesting finger. I have a calendar where I mark all the releases so I know when to not request. I have banned myself from requesting any may or june releases right now, I need to read my own books! As for the books you guys got, I just read The Book of Broken Hearts and it was quite enjoyable. I am also dying to read The Testing! I've already read the collector and it was awesome

enjoy all your books ladies!

GOLDEN! Jasprit, I just LOVED that book, so I can't WAIT to see what you think! I'm also really excited for Ockler's new novel, so I hope it's fantastic. While I wasn't a fan of The Pirate's Wish, I certainly hope you enjoy it! :)

And Rachel, you've got Burning Blue! I really enjoyed that one, so I'm VERY curious to see what you think of it since the romance is very subtle and the mystery is more prominent. I still think you'll really enjoy it.

Lovely haul this week, ladies! :D

Eeep! Awesome books, ladies.
I got Spirit too and I'm excited to read it. I'm a little wary since Hunter wasn't my favorite character, but I hope I'll fall for him too.
Jasprit, you should let me know when you'll be reading The Book of Broken Hearts. We should read it together if you want! :)
Golden sounds like a good read too, but I didn't request it because of the never ending tbr pile that I have.

Rachel, your book haul is epic! So many great books on there. I got True for review too. I'm hoping it will be an enjoyable read. I need to get a copy of Crossing The Lines. It sounds like a very cute novella.

Enjoy your book hauls! :)

Flat-Out Matt! I can't wait! And I really liked Spirit, it was surprising at times, shocking even, and I loved the risks Kemmerer took.
I also can't wait to read The Pirate's Wish... I hear there's finally going to be kissing. Dare I hope for a declaration of love? Hopefully I'll get to it soon.
