The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 7.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team
Hello everyone, seeing as I had so much fun with Bout of Books 6.0 earlier this year. I have decided to sign up for Bout of Books 7.0 which starts next week. It's the perfect chance to make a dent on my tbr pile, but also have a lot of fun at the same time too. For the last Bout of Books I read four books, which was roughly around 1551 pages, including unfinished e-books.
The books I plan to read from this time I have included a photo of below, but as my reading mood changes so frequently, I may read some books not included in this photo.
The Truth About Forever Sarah Dessen | All I Ever Wanted Vikki Wakefield | Requiem Lauren Oliver | Everything Left Unsaid Jessica Davidson | Friday Brown Vikki Wakefield | Just Listen Sarah Dessen | The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer Michelle Hodkin | Siege and Storm Leigh Bardugo
My Goals
Try to read five books from the stack above.
To take part in one twitter chat
To complete at least two challenges.
Its not a big deal if I'm not able to read five books, as the main thing is to have a lot fun. I was able to get to know a lot of new bloggers last time around, so I'm hoping to do that again this year.
I will be updating my progress in my Bout of Books button in my sidebar and also on my Goodreads profile and Twitter page.
If you're thinking of taking part in this challenge there's still time to sign up by clicking on the Bout of Books button at the top. Also if you've signed up and posted your goals, leave me a link in the comments below, I'd love to know what you plan to read. Good luck everyone!

Why are all the read-a-thons in May when my midterms are at its worst? :( I hope that I'll get to join this once. Anyhow you've got some amazing pile right there. I also have Shadow and Bone and I can't wait to read it. Requiem as well! I can't wait to see your impressions after this :)
Hahahaha. I agree with Tanja on the complaint of read-a-thons being at the worst time for me. Always! I have my exam period at uni coming up on May 20th and I need to start studying. + my first exam is already on this Thursday so yeah, no time to read for me. At least not THAT much. I hope you have fun though. I love that you chosed The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer as one of the books to read. I wasn't a huge, huge fan of the first book, I liked it, but didn't necessarily love it. I did absolutely love the second book though. I have heard so many good things about Shadow and Bone and I can't wait to start this series myself. I wish you good luck and can't wait to see what you think of all of these lovely books, Jasprit:)
Hey, fellow book blogger from India! :D
I cant wait for Monday to come around :) This is my first time participating in something like this, so really excited!
I Read, Ergo I Write
Good Luck!
You're going to read those Dessen books? Well,I'm glad. They were cute.
I always wanted to join those 24h readathones but I don't have time to sit around and read books all day. But this one seems great since it's going to be open for a whole week. I just might sign up.
Have fun and I hope you'll read more than five books from your stack.
Awesome. I loved Siege and Storm and mostly enjoyed Requiem lol. I'm curious about Mara Dyer too. Hope you enjoy and best of luck in your challenges :)
Good luck! Hope you make your goal!
Read-a-thons are so fun, I wish I could do more. I hope you have fun. (Read Sarah Dessen!)
Good luck, Jasprit!
Friday Brown, Friday Brown, Friday Brown! That book is SPECTACULAR. So much so I struggle to find the words to review it. Get on to it, Jasprit, it is like WOAH. Good luck with your goals and let's remember, the main thing is to have fun :)
I decided not to take part this time but I hope you have a lot of fun reading these! I'll be following how you get on, good luck! :)
I just signed up. I hope I did it all right... it's my first one. lol :)

Good luck Jasprit! You always do so well with these challenges! :)
While I would love to sign up, having a read-a-thon during Mother's Day weekend won't work for me. Also: I LOOOOOVE Sarah Dessen so I'm hoping you'll love both The Truth About Forever and Just Listen, both of which I have read well over 25 times since 2007!
Have fun with the challenge :)
I loved Shadow and Bone and can't wait to see what you think... in fact .. you should read that one first!

My bout of books goals
Woo! Go Jasprit :) It sounds like a fun challenge and probably something I need for a push...but I'm a bit intimidated. I might join though :) And I agree with the comment above ^ Shadow and Bone is superb!
Friday Brown sounds good, and I really liked Just Listen when I read it a while ago. Hope your enjoy the readathon!
I've been meaning to buy Requiem since it was published. I can't believe in what a cliffhanger Pandemonium ended! :D I hope you enjoy your books!
Hope you enjoy Shadow and Bone as much as I did! & the sequel's even better :) Hoping to read Requeim this month too. Happy reading.
oh those are GREAT picks! Though why does Shadow and Bone look so BIG? My copy isn't like that o.o LOL hope you enjoy it though!

I'm super excited to participate in this read-a-thon. Goodluck and I wish I could read that much books in a week! I can only manage 3-4 a week lol.

That's a reasonable goal. I just signed up to participate in the read-a-thon. My TBR pile is too big, I really need to get my read on. Good luck!
Awesome stack - I hope you enjoy the Sarah Dessen novels if you end up reading them. :)
Jasprit, love your poem! Good Luck with your goals!
My Bout of Books.
Fahima, hope you enjoy your Bout of Books experience :D
I think there are 2 other Bout of Books Read-a-thon this year :D
Brandy check out the Bout of Books FAQ page it's very detailed and very helpful and if you still have any questions there are Twitter contacts and a schedule when their online to help out with questions, you just have to contact @boutofbooks.
Generally though, you just have to do a Signup Post like this one, link to it, then do a Goal/Update post (it can be one and the same) and link to it. The only thing compulsory is to link to the Signup page ;)
All the best and hope you enjoy your first Bout of Books Read-a-thon.
Awww, your spine poem is so beutiful/sad! Great job!
And good luck with the rest of your readathon! Just Listen and The Truth About Forever are two of my favorite Sarah Dessen books ever, and I adore the entire Delirium series. Happy reading!

Great poem, I like the story it tells. ;)
Good luck for the read-a-thon, I hope you'll get to accomplish your goals. :)
Thanks!!!! :)
Hope you enjoy your reading today! I'm in the Bout of Books also and just stopping by to cheer you on!
Ooo, I'm glad you're going to read some Dessen! I like both the books you have there, and I also like Everything Left Unsaid and Shadow and Bone.
Good luck with your goals!
Wendy @ The Midnight Garden
Woo! You're doing really well!
I absolutely LOVE your book spine poetry! Good luck with your goals and happy reading :)
I haven't read Sarah Dessen but hear good things. Hope you enjoy it and keeps you motivated to finish it!
I was a bit undecided about the first Grisha book but I am tempted by Siege and Storm. I think I wanted the first book to be longer and go into things a bit more so might be better read all in one go!
That pile makes Shadow and Bone look absolutely massive! LOL!
I'm currently rereading Shatter Me then starting on book two and your acrostic poem makes me want to hurry up and get to Unravel Me now! I can't decide who I like better. I think Adam, but I still haven't read Destroy Me yet either so maybe I'll change my mind. Thanks for participating!
-Melissa @ Harley Bear Book Blog
Woo! Glad your reading is back on track, and hope you're having fun. :-) Really like your book spine poem! Good luck with tomorrow's reading. :-D
They all looks like awesome books :D Hope you'll get to read them all. <3 Sounds like an pretty awesome challenge ;) I did love Shadow and Bone and Siege and Storm so so so so so much. <3
So glad to hear you were enjoying Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. It's one of my favorite books of hers (though The Truth About Forever IS my favortite book of hers, so I can't wait until you read that one).
I love your Unravel Me acrostic poem (I haven't finished Shatter Me yet, but wow, ;'emotional wreck' has me a little worried about this sequel).
Good luck on your final bout of books reading day!
