Showcase Sunday #47

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea. The aim is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week.

Thank you to Hachette Children's

I'd had my eye on The Fire Horse Girl, for sometime now, so I couldn't resist snatching it up, when I saw it was on really good deal on Kindle and after reading Keertana's gorgeous review. This year has been really good to me with more and more UK publisher's picking up big US titles, I always end up splurging loads for these books, so was pleased to see A Midsummer's Nightmare being published by Hachette. And after having devoured Unsticky I had to get another adult novel by Manning straight away, this book had such a gorgeous cover too!

Over to Rachel and her haul!

Thank you to Harper Teen, Flirt, and Edelweiss.

I didn’t get many books, but that’s okay, I have about a million in my reviewing pile that I need to catch up on! I’m really excited about The Art of Lainey, I’ve seen some good ratings come through.  I read Tempest by Julie Cross and loved it, so I can’t wait to see how her New Adult turns out.  I thought our covers with Pepe and Sztella had run their course until I got a look at this one. Lol!

We'd love to see your book hauls, so feel free to leave us a link in the comments, which we'll check out!

Jasprit, I can't wait to see what you think of The Fire Horse Girl! I really enjoyed it and I hope you do too. I also loved A Midsummer's Nightmare - it was so cute! - and I can't wait to read It Felt Like a Kiss myself. I feel as if it's inevitable to feel disappointment after the brilliance of Unsticky, but I'm hoping not.

Rachel, I really adored The Art of Lainey. It was such a brilliant, refreshing and feminist novel, so I can't wait to see what you make of it. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that Ignite Me works well for you! I'm not a fan of the series, but I know a few who were disappointed and I hope you're not one of them - that's always the worst feeling.

Happy reading, ladies!! :)

Jasprit: It Felt Like A Kiss looks so sweet, I hope it is just like it looks! Fire Horse Girl looks good as well--I haven't heard it before so I am looking forward to your review for that.

Rachel: Ah The Art of Lainey! My co-blogger at Finding Bliss read that a while ago and she really liked it so I'm pretty excited about starting that one.

Awesome haul and have a good week, you two! <33

I got a Midsummer's Nightmare this week too. I kind of want to save it for a summer read, but I read the first chapter already and was hooked, so I don't know if that'll happen!

YAY for The Art of Lainey! I think I was the first or second blogger with an ARC of that one. Of course, I haven't read it yet, but eh. It's nice to be first, you know? I have both Shatter Me and Unravel Me, but I have not read them yet! I think I'll grab a paperback of Ignite Me, to round off my paperback set of the series. A series I have not read yet LOL. I haven't heard of any of the books you got, Jasprit! All are new to me. Not a bad thing! :)

Have a fantastic week, you two!

Check out my STS post!

Ooooh! Sarra Manning! I've heard so much about her but I haven't read any of hers and everytime I go to pick one out I get all overwhelmed. I'm not sure which one to read first! I should be getting Ignite Me soon. Very interested to see how everything ends up. :)
