My Trip to Greece!

Hey everyone, so I was lucky to visit Zante, Greece for my cousin's hen this month. Everything was crazy before we got there as usual, we ended flying from the furthest airport from us and at 6am in the morning. We ended up gettign there for a ridiculous time of 1am, so you can imagine when we reached Zante, we were all absolutely knackered. But the lack of sleep didn't put us off from visiting Laganas beach a few hours after we got there. The weather was absolutely gorgeous that I probably could have stayed at the beach for our entire trip!

We ended finding a pretty neat restaurant too, that we used to eat every single night, they even had PG Tips tea! And it was literally like two minutes from our hotel room!

Our favourite restaurant
My lovely food that I was never able to finish!

The next day we decided to go on a boat tour, which would take us to Marathonissi (Turtle) Island and we would also get the chance to do some turtle spotting! The boat ride over was absolutely amazing, as we were able to take in all the gorgeous scenery on the way over!

Of course I decided to be Captain of our boat!

Our ride also took us through some pretty neat looking caves.

And then when we finally reached Turtle Island, we were told we couldn't sit too up on the beach as the turtles would be resting there, but closer to the water. I didn't mind this at all, as the view from here was gorgeous.

And then on the way back we finally spotted a turtle, our captain of our boat was really good, as he knew whenever it was about to pop its head up and would let us know so we could take photos.

The night life was also pretty amazing. Zante had one strip leading up to the beach with lot of bars and restaurants. We had two favourite clubs that we went to, one night they played all the latest songs and the other they had old school songs, (one night we were actually doing the Macarena in the street with a whole bunch of people, as there was no room in the club!)

This was my first day on the beach.
Thank goodness for sunglasses!

A name for one of the clubs.

Zante was definitely one gorgeous place that I'm glad we decided to visit for my cousin's hen, it had beautiful beach to relax on, lovely restaurants to eat at and an awesome night life. We only went for three nights, but I've never had so much fun ever. I actually was suffering from the depressed state when you get back home and have to start doing normal things again like wearing trousers again to work.

Don't we all hate wearing trousers (or pants of any kind)?

I am so glad to see you had loads and loads of fun on your trip (where are the pictures of the hot guys???!!)

It sucks when we have to come back from vacation doesn't it? You might get to go again soon :DDD If you get lucky! :D

Greece looks gorgeous, Jasprit, and so do you! :) It looks like you had a really great time and Turtle Island seems so beautiful, what with the caves and the cute turtles swimming around. And the water is so BLUE. It's just so clear. Gosh, I need to go someday myself. Lovely post, Jasprit, and thanks for sharing! I felt depressed when I got back from Disney since the East Coast is cold and Florida was so nice and warm, so I know that you mean, but it'll get better soon!(:

Aw! A turtle :D So glad you loved this trip and you girls had so much fun. I think you made the right choice with this one even though.. secretly, I would have loved to have seen you rock it out in Malta heh ;) Still though, I'm sure these pictures, while gorgeous, don't make justice to the whole magic that is Greece and I hope you get to go back one day. I cant' wait to discover it myself either :) Thank you so much for sharing this *goes to scroll through the pictures again*

I'm assuming a hen is like a bridal shower? (It's a term I've never heard of in the States.)
Whatever reason you had to be in Greece, though, it looks like it was a wonderful trip! Those are some gorgeous photos, which I imagine pale in comparison to actually being there.
Someday I'll get to go, I hope.
Thanks for sharing, Jasprit!

I hope that you know that I'm completely and utterly jealous of you. I've always wanted to go to Greece, it seems like such a beautiful country and your photos really showcase that c: You have quite the eye for photography!

The beaches look so pretty :) I totally adore the water and could see myself never wanting to leave. The food in the restaurant looks delicious, and especially if you ate there every night it must have been. Lol if I ever get the miraculous chance to go to Greece I shall ask you for that restaurant's name.

Those caves are so cool! I'd just want to jump into the inviting water and explore them c: haha. But omg turtles! <33 Turtles are so adorable and I love them.

Oooo the nightlife looks like it'd be a blast. And omg, Greek boys [; <33 aha.

Great recap Jasprit! (: I loved looking through all of the pictures and it looks like you had a brilliant time. I hope to one day visit Greece also

Yes Lisa, I haven't felt this way about coming back from a holiday in a long time, maybe because we were there for such a short time, but had so much fun. :)

Thanks Jenny, the water was absolutely gorgeous, I probably could have spent all day near the water it was that pretty!

The captain thing just had to be done Hilda, I even took one picture where I'm shouting land ahoy! My sister acted like she didn't know me then!

Do it Mary!!! It only takes like half an hour by boat to get to Turtle Island from Zante, so is totally doable :)

Jasprit said...

You're so welcome Bonnie! I really hope you get the chance to visit one day!

Jasprit said...

Awww thank you Faye! Yes despite being totally knackered, we were quick to be over our tiredness once we hit the beach, its amazing how seeing something pretty can do that to you in an instance. :)

Jasprit said...

Yes Amanda, a hen is like a bridal shower! I hope you get the chance to visit one day!

Jasprit said...

Hhahah there were quite a few Tanja! ;) I definitely wouldn't mind moving to Greece either, me and my hundreds of books!

Jasprit said...

You're so welcome Carina. It really is a beautiful place that everyone needs to visit one day!

Jasprit said...

Thank you Larissa, I always seem to be the one taking the photos these last couple of years, for any social occasion that we seem to have, I think its become a hobby that I really like doing. Most people are like ugh she's come around again to take more photos? But then can't really complain once they see the photos afterwards. If you do go to Greece I would love to share all the info with you about where you can go etc. especially info about my favourite restaurant!

Jasprit said...

Yes Sarah you need to get on booking your trip asap, as they are some really nice Greek boys out there ;)

Jasprit! I loved seeing your photos on Instgram, but seeing them bigger here is even better! And the turtle is too wonderful.

It looks like you had the loveliest time. :) I've always wanted to go to Greece, and now I want to go even more after seeing your post! I'll have to come to you for tips if that ever happens. ;)

First, I love how British you sound in the first paragraph :). I'm guessing this was a bachelorette party. That's what a hen party is, correct? I didn't get to do anything this amazing for mine! WOW What a gorgeous trip you had. Such beautiful weather and places to see. I'm glad you had so much fun!
