A to Z Bookish Survey

If you know me by now, you probably know how much I enjoy making up lists, The Top Ten Tuesday meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish is one of my all time favourite posts, I could probably make lists all day everyday especially when it concerns books. So when I saw Jamie from The Perpetual Page Turner had posted an A to Z survey of all things bookish, I knew I had to take part too...

Author you've read the most books from:
Meg Cabot: 33 according to Goodreads

Best sequel Ever:
Fire with Fire by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian. This book just seriously left me with my feelings all over the place.

Currently reading:
This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales

Drink of choice while reading?
Tea.

E-reader or physical book?
As I'm constantly on the go I love reading on my Kindle, But of course I'm the biggest book hoarder ever, that I akways have to splurge on gorgeous Hardbacks/Paperbacks.

Fictional character you probably would have dated in high school?
Chaz from the Queen of Babble series by Meg Cabot, from the first book I never really paid much attention to his character, but as the series progressed he completely won me over. He was quirky, intelligent and always brought a smile to my face.

Glad you gave the book a chance:
All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill. Another book which had so many rave reviews that I was a little afraid going into it, but I'm so glad that I gave it a chance, as it completely blew me away.

Hidden gem book:
Confessions of Almost Girlfriend by Louise Rozette. This entire series so far has been completely amazing. I really hope there's much more to come.

Important moment in your reading life:
Discovering Goodreads. Seriously what did I ever do before this? I have discovered so many great books and great friends, that I don't know what I'd do without it.

Just finished:
Sanctum by Sarah Fine

Longest book you've read:
689 pages, Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning

Major book hangover because of:
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. This book seriously what happened? There was so many unexpected things that I was hit by and that ending.....

Number of bookcases you own:
One, I know I totally need more, as the rest of books can be found scattered around my room

One book you have read multiple times:
Can You Keep a Secret by Sophie Kinsella

Preferred place to read:
In my bed, especially when it's raining outside.

Reading regret:
Buying books around release dates and then leaving them unread on my shelves for ages.

Series you started and need to finish (all the books are out in the series):
Lumatere Chronicles series by Melina Marchetta. I started Finnikin of the Rock sometime last year, but just couldn't get into it, but all my friends absolutely love this series, so I know I must give it a try again soon.

Three of your all-time favourite books:
Just One Day by Gayle Forman, Can Keep a Secret by Sophie Kinsella and the Queen of Babble series by Meg Cabot ( I know I completely cheated here)

Unapologetic fangirl for:
Jenny Han, Meg Cabot, Miranda Kenneally and Sarah Alderson

Very excited for this release more than the others:
Just One Year by Gayle Forman. I need more Willem now!

Worst bookish habit:
Buying and requesting more books when I probably have enough to keep me busy with for the next five years.

X marks the spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas

Your latest book purchase:
Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas

Zzz snatcher book (last book that kept you up way late):
Sanctum by Sarah Fine.

Love this! I really want to read Sanctum. I've heard good things. I have such a bad habit of buying novels and then not reading them as well, whether they are new releases or not. I'm currently trying to read more of my own titles, which you'll start to see on my blog. ahha

I really love this post! I know how it is Jasprit. I'm always super excited when a book is about to be published then I buy it and it's just sitting on my shelf or kindle. It's a shame. PS. I love reading in bed too ;) Great post.

I am loving these surveys, Confessions simply does not have enough love! I get why some people don't like the MC but GAH, she's epic. And I look forward to your thoughts on This Song Will Save Your Life, I love the cover for that.

Thanks for sharing, Jasprit! <33

Ohhhh yes, thank goodness for Goodreads. I think I was lost before I discovered it a couple of years ago. I had absolutely no way of tracking the books I loved, and I really, really had no way of searching for new books to horde and lust over! But seriously, why are books such an addiction? Love your confessions, Jasprit! :)

Awesome list :D Thank you for sharing. <3 I haven't read most of these books, but ohh. All Our Yesterdays was so good. <3 And ahh. You need to give Finnikin of the Rock another go :) That series is amazing.
Thank you for commenting on my blog. <3

This is so much fun, Jasprit! I loved reading your answers.
Chaz from Queen of Babble has to be one of the most surprising characters ever. I didn't really notice him in the first book, but I was so surprised by how much I loved him.
I've read Can You Keep a Secret like 5000 times now and it's never boring.
Since Sanctum stole your sleep, can I guess that you enjoyed it? :D

Jasprit, you definitely do need to finish up The Lumatere Chronicles! Honestly, each installment only gets better and better!(: Also, I have one bookshelf too! All my other books are hiding in my desk or under my lamp in stacks, so I need another one desperately. Great survey answers, dear! :D

I love these! I should really do one too. I'm currently reading All Our Yesterdays so I'm happy to see it mentioned above. I'd say my worst bookish habit is the same as yours. lol I can't help it! I definitely have enough unread to last me a year. O.O

Wow. Shadowfever was really almost 700 pages? I read it on my Kindle so I never really knew how long it was! Awesome:) I just finished All Our Yesterdays and LOVED IT SO MUCH! I was a little worried as well since I've seen everyone love it, but I feel like the hype is definitely well deserved, but I'm in that place where I don't know how to write the review because I don't want to give anything away. Review of vagueness, coming up! Can't wait to read Sanctum, that's on my list in a couple weeks:)

Very nice list! I love Goodreads so I'm glad to learn its your favorite book moment. Meg Cabot! Love so many of her books. Still need to read her adult books. The mediator series is my favorite.

Discovering Goodreads is the most important moment in my reading life too. I can't work out how I survived without it! And we share the same reading regret. I'll preorder titles like there's no tomorrow, but then never end up reading them when they actually turn up. :P

I love this post idea! I wish I had taken part now. Thanks for sharing. :)

You have no idea how excited I was when I first discovered Goodreads. It was like Christmas for me. Meg Cabot is also my most-read author and I love Chaz from Queen of Babble too!

Just One Day is your all time favorite? OH YEAH BABY!!!! I want to read that even more now:) It was dispatched today. Hooorrrayyy! ;) I think discovering Goodreads is the best thing ever. I have met so many amazing pepole and the books--ahhh, 'em books! There's just so many. Love that site flaws and all. Btw, Fire with Fire--want to start this one this week. The first one was such a surprise and I loved it, I can't wait to read #2 since basically everyone who has read it among my friends has enjoyed it. You claiming it to be one of the best sequels--LOVE LOVE LOVE:) This is such a fun thing--this survey. I'd like to do this too when I have time:)

You only have one bookcase? We might need an intervention!! MOAR! You need MOAR!

Oh, and I have the same problem with requesting too many books -- those digital ones just multiply like little bunnies, don't they?

I love lists! For the first question, I wouldn't even know since I don't have an accurate report on Goodreads, but I think Meg Cabot would be mine too :)

And thanks to your list, I now have more on my TBR pile! Especially All Our Yesterdays, seriously no negative reviews on that one, which makes me nervous....but oh well :) Love the list!

I also have only one bookshelf! It's definitely not enough either haha but bookshelves take up so much space... And the Lumatere Chronicles is a series I also started but haven't finished. At this point I'm planning on going back and re-reading Finnikin before continuing on with this series. This is such a fun survey and I enjoyed learning a little more about your reading habits, Jasprit!

How fun! I love that you love making lists. I don't, b/c I'm terribly indecisive. Thanks for sharing the fun, Jasprit!

WOW, I had no idea Meg Cabot had that many books! lol Ohh... how are you finding This Song? I thought it was pretty wonderful. :) Yay for tea! The Queen of Babble series is one of my favorite series ever... Chaz is great. :) I LOVE reading when it's raining. It's so peaceful! Your Reading Regret? And Your Worst Bookish Habit I do this too. *face palm* :D At least I'm not alone.

I loved reading your answers and am hoping to do this at some point myself! I plan to read Burn for Burn really soon so I'm glad to hear you loved the sequel so much! Just One Year is a book I seriously need, seeing all the US bloggers reading it early is making me so jealous!
