Snow Kissed by Laura Florand

This is one of the best marriage-in-crisis stories I've read. Heartbreaking and beautiful, sensual and passionate! It brought out so many emotions in just 122 pages!

Saving Francesca   The Piper's Son
Saving Francesca & The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta
I adored Saving Francesca but I absolutely LOVED the sequel, The Piper's Son. Melina Marchetta can have you laughing your head off one minute and crying the next, but she always makes you FEEL!  She is just a phenomenal writer!

These were just a few of my favorites that I'm thankful I've read. What about you, what books are you thankful to have read?

My giveaway is INTERNATIONAL as long as The Book Depository ships to your country. Click HERE for a list of countries. Winner's choice of: $10 Amazon or Barnes & Noble Giftcard or choice of book $10 or less at The Book Depository.

Marchetta is my top favourite author, I am so happy that I found her books. But these days I've been obsessing over the books in the Starbound series by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner, I can't take them out of my head. And before that there was the Unwind series which blew my mind - they are so damn great, in a creepy kind of way.
I also agree with Mary Preston, I am simply grateful for discovering YA.

This Lullaby: For introducing me to Sarah Dessen and young adult contemporary books
Wonder: For being so profound
Harry Potter series: Obvious reasons
Graffiti Moon: The protagonist is from the same place and at the same stage I was when reading. Makes it so much more special. I also read this book in a day it was so amazing.
Vampire Academy: For giving me all the feelings, and then directing me to the Bloodline series which again, more feelings.

The best books I've read this year, the ones I'm really grateful for, are "Code Name Verity" and "Rose Under Fire" by Elizabeth Wein. My grandfather served during World War II so I grew up listening to his stories, and on a student trip to Europe we visited a concentration camp, so these books hold special significance to me.
