Showcase Sunday #60

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea. The aim is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week.

Hey lovelies! I hope the autumn weather has been treating you well, this season and Winter are my favourite couple of months, as I enjoy nothing more than cosying up with a nice hot drink and a good book. The last couple of weeks, I ended up buying a few books that I had my eye on for some time. I totally blame my co-blogger Rachel, Lauren @ Love is not a Triangle and Joy @ Joyous Reads for my copy of Archetype, I had heard so many great things that I needed to know what I was missing out on. And of course I was thrilled to receive a copy of The Mime Order, I thoroughly enjoyed The Bone Season, so can't wait to continue with this series.

Jasprit's Haul:

Rachel's Haul:
(Click on title for Goodreads link)

Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3) A League of Her Own Razed (Barnes Brothers, #2) Unwrapped (Silver Creek, #3.5)

Lethal Shattered (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #7)

Thank you to: Scholastic, Karen Rock, Penguin Group, and Netgalley!

I’m so excited to continue on with Blue Lily, Lily Blue, the third book in The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater, but I want to re-read The Dream Thieves first for a refresher.  I’ll listen to the audio book this time.

I got the audio book of Lethal by Sandra Brown through my library after Heidi’s @Rainy Day Ramblings very informative Tell Me Something Tuesday post.  You can download titles directly onto your phone through the phone app: Overdrive. Yay for free books! Lethal is amazing so far, by the way! I also got Shattered the seventh book in the Iron Druid Chronicles through the library and I can’t wait to start that one because Hunted left on a bit of a cliffhanger!

Leave us a link to your book hauls in the comments, we'd love to see what you received!

Jasprit, I really enjoyed Free to Fall. I hope you will love it too. :)
I need to start the Raven Boys series too, Rachel. I just feel like I want to wait to find out if there's an HEA. Too many long series have burned me lately.
Enjoy your lovely books this week, guys! :)

Eeep! I hope you'll enjoy Archetype. I know Rachel and I have been harping on you to read that series but now that you have a copy, I'm worried and anxious to see what you think.

Rachel! Lethal is a book of hers that I don't have. I recently read Envy and have loved it. I have Standoff on my night table and Deadline. But I hope you'll enjoy!

Have a great week, ladies!

I really need to read The Bone Season as I've heard nothing but good things about it. I also met Samantha Shannon last year and she was lovely! Enjoy :)

Looks like you both got some awesome titles! I haven't really grabbed anything new; I'm trying to get through some books for school and a couple review titles I have.

Jasprit, I'm so excited to see what you think of both Pointe and Archetype as I've been hearing excellent reviews of them both and Free to Fall was a story I really enjoyed so I hope you do too. The Mime Order is such an anticipated sequel for me and I can't wait to compare notes since I'm planning to dive into my ARC very soon as well--so excited!

Rachel, I can't wait to see what you think of BLLB. I loved it, though I wish I'd had the time to re-read TDT before hand. I'm not familiar with your other titles, though I do see quite a few authors I recognize, but I hope you enjoy your haul, dear!

Happy reading, ladies! :)

I can't believe I still haven't gotten myself a copy of Free to Fall! I loved her first book and was dying to read it but haven't gotten around to it yet. And I MUST catch up with the Raven Cycle series. Still need to read book 2!

I completely agree, Jasprit - I love autumn! Although the weather's been awful since last week, it literally hasn't stopped raining. That's a perfect excuse to curl up in bed with a good book, though, so I'm not complaining. :)

Hope you both enjoy your new books!
