Bout of Books 8.0

Bout of Books

Hello everyone, I can't believe it's time for Bout of Books already. This is my third Bout of Books that I'm taking part in, I've had so much fun in the last few read-athons, that I knew that I would definitely be signing up for the next one. So what is Bout of Books you ask?

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 8.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

My Goals

I usually end up listing loads of books in my goals posts, but this time, I've decided to just mention three books that I will definitely be tackling, I've become such a mood reader as of late that I know that the books I decide to pick up could vary over this week. So here are the three books I will be reading.

I also hope to take part in at least one Twitter chat, (these are so much fun) and at least three challenges.

I will be updating my progress on my Blog, twitter and Goodreads. If you're also taking part in this read-athon, feel free to link up your goals in the comment, I would love to see what you're planning on reading!

I'm so happy that you'll be reading VA! I can't wait to see what you think of it. Good luck Jasprit :)

You're finally reading VA. I love those books. And you have The Killing Woods. I'm so jealous.

Good luck on this read-a-thon. I won't be joining you. It's too much pressure. I set reasonable goals but always want to read even more. It's stressful and I can't control myself.

I am not a fan of VA but that's probably because I am only up to Blood Promise, lol. I hope you enjoy it more.

Have fun Jasprit! <33

Good luck with the readathon! I need to read Vampire Academy before the film comes out. The Killing Woods sounds great too!

Yay for Sloppy Firsts! I love that book and VA is a great series (although I'm very disappointed by the trailer). I'm also DYING to know what The Killing Woods is like! Hopefully it lives up to Stolen! *finger crossed*

I"ve become a super-moody reader as late, too! At least you have a good plan for BoB -- good luck!

A fair warning for you babe: the first two VA books aren't brilliant, but the rest of them really take the game to another level and spice it up. I think if you tackle through the first two, you're good to go:) I hope you enjoy the first one as well. Oh, and one more thing: Christian Ozera:) 'nuff said;)

Eeep, I am SO excited for this readathon as well, Jasprit! I think it's smart that you only listed the books you know you will be reading FOR SURE, since during readathons, I become such a mood reader and pick up other things. Plus, seeing other people reading books lights up a lightbulb and makes me want to go read that book, haha. I'm actually thinking of putting Vampire Academy on my list, since I've heard such great things and I remember I had said that I would pick it up sometime this summer (which clearly hasn't happened yet...).

Also, the Twitter chats are the BEST! I'm hoping to participate in at least one as well. Plus, I want to participate in some challenges too, since many are so fun!

Good luck, Jasprit, and I'll be cheering you on during the readathon! <3

Yay for the Vampire Academy series. I put that series off for so long and I kicked myself afterwards. I loved it and I hope you do too. Same with the Jessica Darling series. Happy reading and good luck!

The Killing Woods? I loved Stolen by the same author but have never heard of this one. Is this new? I read the first and some of the second books to the Jessica Darling series. I've got to say, the first one was fantastic but the second one, not so much. I hope you have better luck with this series, Jas. And good luck with your goals! You can do it!!!

Hi Jasprit! I really want to read Tiger Lily too - maybe after I've finally read Peter Pan? - and a fellow book blogger bought me Just One Day for my birthday so I'm hoping to read that one soon too!

Thanks for taking part in the challenge, and good luck in the giveaway! (Sorry it's taking so long by the way, I was ill yesterday so I lost a full day of sorting entries!)
