Hi everyone, can you believe that its already December? Did you all open your advent calendars already? That was of course the first thing I did today with my dairy milk advent calendar! Can you believe there's only 24 sleeps until Christmas? This year I have been proper on it and only have one more Christmas present to buy, its been utterly chaotic in town, that I decided to do everything super early, This month has also been great reading-wise for me too, I managed to read 13 books! I never tend to read more than 10 in a month these days, I think this could highly likely due to binge reading Laura Florand's series, but I'm hoping I'll be able to manage this many books this month too. Here's our recap of November!
Number of Books read:
Jasprit: 13!!! (I never read this many!)
Rachel: 14
Highest rating:
Jasprit: 5 stars

Best read of last month:
Jasprit: The Chocolate Rose by Laura Florand. This series was absolutely amazing, but this book by far was my favourite, the characters just had the perfect chemistry, they created all the swoons, but also bought out many laugh out loud moments too.
Rachel:
Burn For Me by Illona Andrews. It was a superb start to their newest Urban Fantasy series and probably the sexiest book I've read by them!
Book which surprised me the most:
Jasprit: Alls Fair in Love and Chocolate (a short novella in Kiss the Bride anthology. I normally do't do anthologies, but this short story was such a cute read, you would think with me binge reading this series, it would be hard for me to find some stories that stood out for me, but this one certainly snuck its way to my heart with its charming storyline.
Rachel:
Made For You by Melissa Marr because I didn't expect to enjoy it so much. I have a real tricky relationship with YA, but this was creepy with a smart heroine! Also, Only Enchanting by Mary Balogh. I don't pick up historical fiction very often, but I should! This one pulled my emotions all over the place in the very best way!
Fictional crush of the month:
Jasprit: Gabriel Delange from The Chocolate Rose! I've finally decided that I need to move to France and get married to a chef there as all the ladies I've read about seem to be doing this. Also chefs that growl tend to be my favourite *sigh*
Rachel:
Colton from I Saw Her Standing There by Marie Force. He was super sweet, caring and insatiable!
Three books I'm most looking forward to this month:

I haven't read anything by Catherine Anderson but she's a very popular romance author. I'm looking forward to discovering her charm. I listened to The Dream Thieves again last month in preparation for Blue Lily, Lily Blue, for some reason I didn't like the story as much this time around, Ronan's chapters bored me and I couldn't wait to get back to Blue or even her mother and the ladies of Fox Way. The Others is one of my favorite series in the Fantasy genre so I can't wait to pick up the third installment: Vision In Silver!

I'm (Rachel) on Pinterest often looking at bookstores and libraries I'd love to visit in person. Hatchards is supposed to be the oldest bookstore in London, according to the caption on this pin and I wished I would've known of its existence when I was there back in 2013 so I could visited!
How was your month of November?

maaaaaan I cannot believe it's already December. This year has literally gone so quick D:
Jasprit: Ashes to Ashes! I just got that one in the mail today and I am very excited about digging into it :D Also, I cannot wait for Body Electric either--I have it on my kindle and I am dying to start it.
Rachel: As yes, the Raven Boys series! I think thats all I see around the blogosphere these days lelelel
I didn't read a whole lot in November due to taking part in NaNoWrimo. I think I read three books in total and one of those was Ashes to Ashes which I thought was a pretty good end to the series -although that series was very hit and miss for me overall.
Open Road Summer is my favourite debut of 2014 - enjoy!
Jasprit, I can't wait to see what you think of Open Road Summer! I absolutely loved that one and will now be reading anything and everything Emery Lord writes:) And I still really, REALLY need to read something by Laura Florand.
Rachel - YAY BURN FOR ME!!! I so loved that one as well. And Made For You. That book was so much more than I expected going in, the killer's chapters were brilliantly horrifying:)
It sounds like you guys had a fabulous month of books! I loved Burn for Me too. It was so good. I could not stop reading it, Rachel. I'm definitely excited for books in this series. :)
Jasprit, I need to read the Chocolate series! Everyone loves it so much. And yes, I'm up for a chef that growls! ;)
I hope your December will be as awesome! :)
You both read so many books this month and it's great that you both had 5 stars in there! I'm really looking forward to seeing what you think of The Body Electric Jas as I love Beth's books and have this on my own TBR. I also have Blue Lily, Lily Blue to read this month Rachel - I hope we both enjoy it. Happy reading for another month ladies! :)
I'm kinda flippin' out too. I can't believe how fast this year has flown. You ladies had some pretty good recommendations for over the course of 2014, so I'm looking forward to more wonderful reads from you. I'm excited to read Vision in Silver, too and The Mime Order. Gah. I wish I know some publishing people who can hook me up with ARCs. Lol.
Yay for amazing sounding month :D I am so excited about Christmas too. <3 Hope December will be amazing for you both :) I loved The Body Electric. <3 And Blue Lily, Lily Blue :D I hope you guys will love them too. <3 happy reading :)
I read Made For You back in September and loved it too! I have read both Open Road Summer and Prisoner of Night and Fog and really like both of them so I hope you enjoy those!
I feel like I did well reading-wise this past month. I don't know the exact number, but reading books on my Kindle helped up the numbers actually! I do need to read more e-books.
Congrats on reading 13 books Jasprit, that's amazing :D! And 14 for you, Rachel, great job. Haaa, Prisoner of night and fog, I'm happy to see you picked it as one of your Debut reads. You won't regret it. You will get lots of Blue time in Blue Lily :)
Happy December :D!
13 and 14 read books? Well done ladies!
Rachel; I added Made for You on my TBR list because of your review and I can't wait to read The Raven Boys series Open Road Summer.
I imagine Rachel is very proud that you finally gave in and binge read Laura Florand's series! :D Also I AM SO PROUD THAT YOU READ 13 books! :D
Rachel!!! Ahh I so badly want to read Burn for Me and I am so so glad to hear that you enjoyed it that much... and that you think it's their sexiest book yet ^_^ I am also glad to hear you enjoyed Made for You! I read that one a while ago and had so so much fun with it. I really loved how realistic it was in terms of things teens go through but more than that, I loved the female lead.
Also I seriously hope you enjoy Catherine Anderson's book! I read one of her contemporaries and really did not like it but when I read her historical romances, I fell head over heels. I haven't given her contemporaries another shot but I would really recommend her HRs!
Jasprit! :D I am planning on reading The Body Electric this month too and hopefully we'll both enjoy it. I don't know how you felt about her other series but I still hope it'll work out for both of us :D
I hope you lovelies have a fantabulous December! :D It's time to put our holiday hats on anyway (random sentence but it makes sense in terms of context!). LETS GET THIS HOLIDAY SEASON STARTED. *throws confetti*

Jasprit, I'm so thrilled you enjoyed Florand's work! She's one of my favorite authors EVER and her books make me feel like I need to move to France ASAP as well--we are clearly missing out on SO much! ;)
Rachel, thrilled to hear you loved Ilona Andrews's latest and I can't wait to compare notes on Vision in Silver as I recently finished it. I have a feeling you'll love it and BLLB is fantastic, as expected.
Wonderful re-cap, ladies, and here's hoping your December is even better!(:
Looks like you girls had a fantastic month! Congrats on reading so many books. :)
I'm really looking forward to Vision in Silver, too. I got it from EW and it's killing me not to read it now, but I'm trying to stay on schedule. :)
BL,LB is awesome(!!!), and I adored Prisoner of Night and Fog.
Happy reading, ladies!
