Monthly Recap: April

Hi all, we're back with our recap for the month, I (Jasprit) was hoping to binge read my way through books last month, but this didn't happen :( but hopefully once I've got through some more Arcs, I can finally get to those books on the tbr I've been neglecting, I actually can't wait! So here's how April was for us.

Crushed (Redemption, #2)  Before I Fall (Falling Book 1) Envy Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8)
\A Shattered Moment (Fractured Lives, #1)

Best read of last month:
Jasprit: I think I have a tie between either Something Real or A Court of Thorns and Roses, both were totally different books, but I ended up loving them both, as they were books which I couldn't put down, they certainly bought the swoon too!

Rachel:
Night Broken by Patricia Briggs. Love how strong Adam and Mercy's marriage is and how Mercy expertly maneuvers through sticky situations!

Book which surprised me the most:
Jasprit: Something Real by Heather Demetrios, I don't know why I assumed that this book wouldn't be for me when I first heard about it, but it was certainly a book I thoroughly enjoyed, I was easily able to connect with the MC Chloe and Demetrios bought in such charming characters.

Rachel:
Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs. Didn't count on having so much in a 61 page book, but I was definitely hooked on the series after readin!

Fictional crush of the month:
Jasprit: Patrick from Something Real, this guy is like the guy that I would love to meet in real life, he's super sweet, always looking out for our MC, and doesn't take no for an answer, so of course is easily able to cheer you up and is just there for you when you need him the most.

Rachel:
It's a toss between Adam and Charles from Alpha & Omega series, to the  Mercy Thompson series even with all their passion!

Three books I'm most looking forward to this month:

It feels like I've been waiting forever for the release of End of Days, and now the wait is finally over, I have absolutely loved this series so far, so I'm hoping that I will end up loving this one too. I haven't heard much about The Fill-in Boyfriend so far, but it's a book by Kasie West and look how adorable it sounds! I so need some fluffy fun, books in my life, so can't wait for this one. And An Ember in the Ashes is a book which I haven't paid much attention to before, but I couldn't resist getting my hands on a copy, after reading so many praising reviews.

Rachel:

Tessa Ever After (Caged in Winter #2)   Only a Promise (The Survivors' Club #5) Suddenly One Summer

How was your month of April? And which books are you most excited about?

Something Real was such a surpassing and such an enjoyable for me too Jasprit. I'm so happy you loved it in the end. I love Patrick. I connected with him and Chloe so much me their relationship was so wonderful to read. Did you know that Heather is doing a sequel but from Lexie's POV?! I'm reading Ember and Fill-In Boyfriend this month. Can't wait. Great recap ladies.

I've been away and didn't see your review for ACOTAR!! I need to check it out as I'm dying to read it. It's actually next on my TBR list. Anyhow you both have read some really interesting books last month. Hopefully you'll get to read even better ones this month. Great post, ladies :)

@Jasprit: I’m planning to read both Something Real or A Court of Thorns and Roses, so glad to hear you loved them! I’m looking forward to all books you’ve mentioned.

@Rachel: After you wonderful posts and updates about Patricia Briggs’ series, I think I’m going to check it out. As for you looking forward titles, Caged in winter is on my tbr-list for a long time. Maybe after the release of Tessa Ever After I’ll finally pick it up.

I hope you enjoy End of Days! I thought it was pretty amazing and a satisfying ending to the series, although it couldn't beat the first book Angelfall for me. Glad you both had a productive month<3 Benish | Feminist Reflections

I have GOT to make time to read A Court of Thorns and Roses. Have had the ARC for months yet life is too busy. :( Something Real has also been gathering dust on my shelf but would really love to get to it this year. :) Can't wait to get my hands on a copy of The Winner's Crime too.

I can't believe that End of Days FINALLY comes out. I really want to do a re-read of the first two books though so I might not get to it this month. Happy reading you two!
