Waiting on Wednesday #22: The Destiny of Violet & Luke (The Coincidence #3) by Jessica Sorensen

Is a meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, which spotlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating.

The book I'm eagerly looking forward to is:
The Destiny of Violet and Luke (The Coincidence, #3)
The Destiny of Violet & Luke (The Coincidence #3) by Jessica Sorensen
Expected Publication Date: January 7th 2014
Publisher: Forever

About the Book: Luke Price's life has always been about order, control, and acting tough on the outside. For Luke, meaningless relationships are a distraction-a way to tune out the twisted memories of his childhood. He desperately wishes he could forget his past, but it haunts him no matter what he does.

Violet Hayes has had a rough life. When she was young, she was left with no family and the memory of her parents' unsolved murders. She grew up in foster homes, living with irresponsible parents, drugs, and neglect, and trying to fight the painful memories of the night her parents were taken from her. But it's hard to forget when she never got closure-and she can't stop dreaming about what happened that tragic night. To make it through life, she keeps her distance from everyone and never allows herself to feel anything.

Then Violet meets Luke. The two clash instantly, yet they can't seem to stay away from each other. Although they fight it, they both start to open up and feel things they've never felt before. They discover just how similar they are. But they also discover something else: The past always catches up with you . . .

I really loved The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden so I'm anxious to find out more about Kayden's friend Luke and Callie's college roommate Violet.  Both seemed to have a lot going on under the surface that was only hinted at and I'm really wondering about their stories.  I'm nosy like that!  January 7th will be here before I know it so at least the wait won't be torture.

So what are you dying to read?  Link me up and I’ll come and check it out!

I've been meaning to read this series, the only thing that's stopping me is the fact that she self-published again, which, in her case, means a ton of editing issues. The awful grammar in Ella & Micha pretty much ruined it for me.
I'll most likely just do my best to ignore it because the stories sound really great.

I haven't read any of these books, but I feel like so many people love them that I'll have to pick them up. :) And hey! You're right; January isn't far away, so not much longer to wait!

Here's mine! :)

I haven't read this series because of all the mixed reviews on it, though I'm very curious. I should probably check out the first book in this series, at the very least. Great pick, Rachel!

That's a pretty hot cover, there. Barbed wire tat, though? Poor boy got sucked in...

I've been meaning to read Jessica's books and I still haven't gotten around to it Rachel! I've heard they're super emotional and dramatic (not in a bad way, just in an intense way), so when I get here I'll probably be bugging you about what happens so I know going in. You know I have to know all about these types of books ahead of time!

I haven't read any of these books, but I like that they are companion novels and not straight-up sequels!

I have only read one J. Sorensen book--The Temptation of Lila and Ethan and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!!!!!!! I'll try Ella and Micha next and then give a try to this series. I think. I hate that all of her books are a part of a series. Basically like Abbi Glines who can't wrap things up in one book -.- But hey, more money for them, right?
