Showcase Sunday #28

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea. The aim is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week.

I was so excited with the books I received this week. I am such an impatient reader that I couldn't wait until the UK release date of Haze (October) that I had to order my copy from Fishpond. I've been trying to sneak in chapters in every spare moment that I've had and let me just say I'm absolutely loving Rafa Haze! As you probably already know I'm a huge Sophie Kinsella fan, so was pleased to know my copy of her latest book Wedding Night finally arrived at my library. The reviews for this book have been a bit mixed as of late, but I have my fingers crossed that I end up loving it.

Thank you Disney Hyperion, Touchstone, Bloomsbury UK, Macmillan Children's Publishing group and Sarah Alderson.

It's taken all my will power to not dive into some of these amazing galleys that I received this week. I loved Throne of Glass, so can't wait to get back to this mesmerising world once more. But I know for sure that I will have to make time for Tormenting Lila this weekend, Alex has been out of my life for far too long.

Over to Rachel now and her book haul

Thank you to William Morrow, Atria Books, Balzer+Bray, Forever Grand Publishing, Netgalley, and Edelweiss!

I’m so excited about my haul! After loving Ten Tiny Breaths, Rule, and Charade, I’m thrilled to get their sequels for review. I still need to read For Darkness Shows the Stars before Across a Star-Swept Sea, but I’ve heard good things about the series. Plus, I’m a huge Persuasion (Jane Austen) fan and it’s a re-telling of sorts.

I’m hooked on audio-books because I get to read more by using my commute times. After reading Keertana’s amazing review @Ivy Book Bindings for Mine Till Midnight, I had to run out and get a copy! Lucky for me Audible had a sale and I got it for $4.50, which is a steal of a deal for an audio-book! I LOVED it!

So that's our wonderful haul for the past two weeks. If you posted any kind of book haul, we'd love to know what you received, so please link us up in the comments.

Jasprit, I'm so curious to see what you think about The Wedding Night! I've seen mixed reviews so far, but I'm hoping it's good. I'm SO excited for Haze - wish it was out in the US - and I really need to read Everbound already. I didn't know there was a new Lila book - have to check that one out - and I'm planning to read This Song Will Save Your Life soon myself! :)

Rachel, I'm so glad you enjoyed Mine Till Midnight! I love Kleypas audio books, so great medium, and I can't wait to see what you make of the rest of the series too! Also, Moon Called is great - though the series gets MUCH better after Book 2 - and I loved S&B! :)

Fantastic haul, ladies! :D

Looking forward to seeing what you think of All Our Yesterdays! Been getting some rave reviews and it sounds great. Wow $4.50 for an audiobook is beyond cheap! I've never read anything by Kleypas but I'm a secret fan of historical romances so I may have to check her out someday. Happy Reading!! :D

Jasprit I'll have to show my friend your pic of Wedding Night. She will be extremely jealous cause she adores her books but also my friend must wait till translation is out cause she doesn't speak English. But really the book looks lovely. Also I've gotten All Our Yesterdays too. I can't wait to read it. I'm really jealous because of Crown of Midnight - say hello to my Captain ;)
I'm really curious what will you say for One Tiny Lie Rachel.

Great haul girls :)

Great haul Jaspirit. I loved Everbound, and I need to pick up a copy of Shadows and give that one a go. I have All Our Yesterdays too and Crown of Midnight, which I'm trying to read at the moment but just can't get into. And I loved Throne of Glass too.

Rachel, I love the Mercy Thompson series, and Shadow and Bone is fantastic :) I have to venture into the world of audio books, I've yet to listen to one. It would be great for when I'm doing my housework if I could manage to concentrate.

Hope you both enjoy your books girls :)

Nyrae Dawn is just amazeballs. Oh and One Tiny Lie!!! Jet -- I hope this one's good as well, Rule was pretty darn fantastic. I want to read Shadow and Bone too. Just received my paperback and can't wait to meet these charcters everyone is talking about:) Happy reading, girls!

I need to check out that Kleypess book. I love audio books when I find the time to listen to them. I wish I had them when I commuted all those years in PHX. Some wonderful books up there. Have a great week, ladies.

Can't wait for your review on Haze, Jasprit. I'm hoping there's lot of Maggie and Jason, because I just adored them two! Strangely even more than Rafa and Gaby.

Oh, Rachel, you really need to read FDStS. It's an amazing book that I'm sure you'll love!

Jasprit, you really did get some ah-mazing books this week! I still need to pick up Everbound for myself, after having reading Everneath last year. That cover is so gorgeous! The cover for All Our Yesterdays looks AWESOME so I'm totally going to check that one out. Same goes for This Song Will Save Your Life (what a chilling title!!).

Rachel, I'm pretty jealous of some of the books you got! One Tiny Lie looks pretty great. And I am loving that cover for Across a Star Swept Sea, although I haven't read For Darkness Shows the Stars. I think you'll enjoy that one, though, because I've heard nothing but great reviews for that one.

Lovely haul, you two! Happy reading! <3

Jasprit, you need to let me know what you think of Wedding Night. I've been wary to start it because of the mixed reviews, but I adore Sophie Kinsella! If you like it, then I'll probably get myself a copy.
This Song Will Save Your Life sounds so good! I'm excited for that book.

Rachel, you have no idea how happy I am that you enjoyed Mine Till Midnight! Was that your first Lisa Kleypas book? I read all her historical romance and contemporary romance books and they were so addictive! :)

Enjoy your book hauls, ladies! :)
