Top Ten Tuesday #8: Books featuring travel in some way.

Is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where each week they post a new top ten list and ask fellow bloggers to share their lists on that topic.

Today's top ten topic is: Top Ten books featuring travel in some way.

Books featuring road trips.

Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson | Golden by Jessi Kirby | From What I Remember by Stacey Kramer & Valerie Thomas | Saving June by Hannah Harrington.

I love my road trip books, they’re my always go to books when I’m feeling down and need a quick pick me up. The above four road trip books are my absolute favourites, with the characters travelling to awesome places across the US (which has always been my dream!) there’s a lot of fun along the way. Especially when characters who normally don’t spend time together are forced to spend time together on this trip. But as well as experiencing the physical road trip, there’s also a lot of individual growth along the way too.

Books featuring travel to different countries.

Just One Day by Gayle Forman | Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill | The Book of Blood & Shadow Every Boy's Got One by Meg Cabot | Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard | Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor.

I’ve always wanted to travel more, so I love that I can experience the different cities and countries visited by characters in books. The books I’ve mentioned here, go to great lengths to actually give you a great feel of what the place is like. They visit gorgeous places such as Paris, Prague, Italy and backpacking across central America. I love it when you actually get the chance to visit some of these places mentioned in your favourite reads.

Also it's great when you can actually go and visit some of the places mentioned in the books you read. I was lucky to visit Prague last year, which is featured in Daughter of Smoke and Bone and The Book of Blood and Shadow.

So that's my top ten books featuring travel in some way, did you take part in this week's Top Ten post too? Link me up in the comments and I'd love to see which books made it to your list.

Saving June and Meant To Be are personal favorites of mine. They were both so beautiful and cleverly written. Gorgeous photos of Prague! I don't travel much, but I love getting lost in a new city.

I'd love to go travelling, especially to the US! And I agree that it would be awesome to visit the places mentioned in books. :) Prague looks beautiful! The only one I've read from your list is Every Boys Got One. I remember seeing From What I Remember around the blogosphere last year and wanting to pick it up, not sure why I didn't...will have to rectify that!

That cover of Saving June is awesome. I'll never get over the fact US cover looks so depressing. Still need to read Golden. And I've never heard of Every Boy's Got One. Need to check it out on GR.

Amy & Roger might be the ultimate road trip book. I'm currently reading meant to be and enjoying it. I think I'll read Saving June next, it's been sitting on my to-read for quite a while now. Great list!

Great list! I didn't do it this week because I couldn't think of that many books I've read that deal with travel. I want to read more though, like Amy & Roger, Saving June, and From What I Remember (from your list!)

I just recently bought Meant to Be and I fully intend to read it soon, even though it's not my usual type of read. And I still have the second Laini Taylor book, sitting on my shelf unread, which is kind of embarassing, really. But hopefully I'll find time for that too soon.

Golden is another book I simply must read after all those wonderful reviews.
Thanks for sharing!
